THREE DIMENSIONS OF WISDOM NEEDED BY A MINISTER (2)

THREE DIMENSIONS OF WISDOM NEEDED BY A MINISTER (2)

DWOJ Daily Words of Jesus Devotional Post April

Continued from last quarter….

This write-up is credited to Pastor Bimbo Animashaun. There are three dimensions of wisdom that a minister of the Gospel should strive to operate in constantly by the help of God. Today, we shall consider the second type:

(2) PROPHETIC WISDOM: Prophetic wisdom talks about KNOWING WHAT TO DO PER TIME, like the children of Issachar knew what Israel ought to do (1Chro.12:32). This wisdom also deals with the future, and aligning accordingly. Without prophetic wisdom, a man of God will be out of God’s will for his life.

He will sacrifice his future in ministry because of parochial views of God’s plan and purpose for his life and ministry.

Prophetic wisdom makes a man of God to be current with the things of the Spirit and the program of God for his ministry and also for his generation.

A minister who walks by prophetic wisdom doesn’t do “copy and paste”.

He doesn’t copy the instructions of other ministers in ministry; he operates on a prophetic frequency every moment to keep pace with God.

Sometimes, he ventures into unfamiliar terrains in ministry that others may even be afraid of or skeptical about but he sees through the eyes of the Spirit — that’s PROPHETIC WISDOM.

Here are some attributes of this PROPHETIC WISDOM:

JOB 28:7-12

7 There is a path which no fowl knoweth, and which the vulture’s eye hath not seen:

8  The lion’s whelps have not trodden it, nor the fierce lion passed by it.

9  He putteth forth his hand upon the rock; he overturneth the mountains by the roots.

10  He cutteth out rivers among the rocks; and his eye seeth every precious thing.

11  He bindeth the floods from overflowing; and the thing that is hid bringeth he forth to light.

12  But where shall WISDOM be found? and where is the place of understanding?

That’s PROPHETIC WISDOM. It sees the future today. It sees what others ignore. It comes by DIVINE INSTRUCTION AND INSPIRATION. God told Isaac in the midst of famine:

GENESIS 26:2

And the LORD appeared unto him, and said, GO NOT DOWN INTO EGYPT; dwell in the land which I shall tell thee of.

That was A DIVINE INSTRUCTION. Although it didn’t make natural sense but it was God’s prophetic wisdom in action.

PROPHETIC WISDOM is not by TRIAL AND ERROR. No, it declares the end from the beginning and insists on nothing but God’s eternal counsel (Isa.46:10).

Many pay attention to what is happening rather than what is going on. One of the greatest challenges in life and destiny is the temptation to focus only on what is happening i.e. the immediate, visible, noisy events around us while failing to discern what is really going on...

INDISCIPLINE: PROBLEM AND SOLUTION (2)

Indiscipline in teens and young adults is the behaviour, intentional or unintentional, that defies rules, expectations, and authority. It is often a normal part of adolescent development and can range from minor misbehaviour to more serious, disruptive conduct.
