In one of the lines of the hymn “What a friend we have in Jesus”, Preacher Joseph M. Scriven wrote, “O what needless pain we bear, all because we do not carry everything to God in prayer!”. It is also true, “What a needless pain we bear, when we do not ask for forgiveness from fellow man you have offended or hurt”. Some people’s destiny have been hanging on a scale balance for the past 10 years in the house of an aggrieved family member, former boss, a guardian, or even one’s parents, when they misbehaved and a curse was pronounced.
Brethren, all the graces you will ever need for the fulfillment of your life and destiny have been released by God to planet earth but many times, they are in the custody of men. This is the mystery of spiritual authority. Authority can be conferred or earned. Humility will save you from untold hardship. Some folks slapped their father or beat their mothers and they think they will go scot-free. Never backstab anyone who mentored you, fed you, clothed you, or housed you. The aim of today’s devotional is to save you from unnecessary prayers and untold pain many are presently passing through. Haven’t you read: “Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams” 1 Samuel 15:22b.
SOME people aren’t in need of deliverance. They are in need of repentance and restitution. When you use a particular spiritual weapon again and again, and it seems you aren’t generating enough result, then it is time to change weapon. Prayer is a spiritual weapon. Deliverance is a spiritual weapon. Seed sowing, faith, tithe, kingdom service, etc, are all spiritual weapons. But, the body of Christ must know that repentance and restitution are also great spiritual weapons which though, cost you less, are very potent.
Did you finish the discipline meted out by your pastor before you walked out of your former Church? You see the reason why you are probably suffering from slow progress. The devil, the accuser of the brethren is always in a search for a sin, mistake or error to lay hold unto that he may block your personal heavens. Many of us are a product of our own misfortune. Good character will save your destiny from a lot of unwanted stress, unnecessary hardship and unnecessary prayers and fasting. Retrace your steps from where you have once fallen. Humble yourself, pick up your destiny and fly again. Put on the garment of repentance and restitution today.

Prophetic Decree: Receive your freedom from the ghost of yesterday haunting your destiny.
Prayer Focus
1. Lord Jesus, I come before you today, have mercy upon me.
2. I repent of anyway I have been arrogant and proud in time past.
3. My Father, let me obtain mercy and grace before (mention the name of the person you’ve wronged), in Jesus name.
4. I reject, and renounce any evil word, evil decree, or evil pronouncements working against my advancement, in Jesus name.
