Bible Reading: Exodus 28: 2,40; Zephaniah 1:8

Memory Verse: I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. Romans 12:1-2 (NKJV)

A world acclaimed Gospel musician from Nigeria got married in August 2022, and someone has this to say: I actually didn’t know that people could dress and cover up their bodies and look absolutely gorgeous at ceremonies anymore. No slit to the thigh. No cleavage and breast exposure, they even had hats on during church service. They wore their light makeups and their nails were decent to behold. The best part for me was the Gospel songs played all through the event.

A lot of children of God forget this aspect, some are just spiritually careless while others compromise just to make their so-called guest comfortable. They don’t want to be termed too born again. You hear all manner of songs sacrificed on the altar on Baal playing in a “child of God” ceremony. Their guests are comfortable, yet God the most important guest is not. They allow all sorts of things that Jesus will frown at take place at their events. No wonder Jesus is no longer in many people’s wedding ceremony to help them turn their watery marriage into wine when their wine finishes, hence we see high rate of divorce in “christians homes” today.

I can say for a fact that a lot of our marriages today didn’t involve Jesus from the beginning. He was not there at the foundation, neither was he there at the reception nor was he invited into the home/family after the ceremony. Men were invited as guests except Jesus, and except the Lord build a house, the builders build in vain. Allow Jesus shine in your dressing, in your wedding reception, your songs etc. Don’t allow your bridesmaid to enter the church like mermaid confusing men up and down in the name of being celebrities. Change the narration. Make the celebrities that go half naked to other events cover up and help men not to fall into temptation by hissing or liking what they see. Make Jesus and his children proud.

Thank you for making sure the bouncers kept Jezebel and her activities outside the reception. Honour God. Keep the Jezebels outside your reception. Indeed God still has his remnant and he is counting on you and I to be one, as long as there is breath in our nostrils. The question is are you one of his remnants, or have you joined the world? In the way we dress, in the trending songs we play on our occasions, etc. If you are not, it’s not too late to retrace your step back to him, if you are genuine he will take you back and offer you his rest.

Quote: I pays to honour God at all times, in all places, in Jesus name.

Prophetic Decree:  Receive your deliverance from the spirit of worldliness and compromise, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus

1. Lord, I am sorry in everyway I have disappointed you in my dressing and songs, in Jesus name.

2. I repent of all backsliding and compromise, in Jesus name.

3. Lord, help me to live for you in the way I dress and in the song I sing, in Jesus name.

4. Spirit of brokenness, possess the church, in Jesus mighty name.

5. O Lord deliver me from worldly songs, in Jesus mighty name.

6. I refuse to honour my guest at the expense of honouring Jesus, the Chief Guest at my wedding, in Jesus name.
