Bible Reading:  Lamentations 3:37

Memory Verse:  Who is he who speaks and it comes to pass, When the Lord has not commanded it? Lamentations 3:37 (NLT)

A young lecturer met a senior colleague to report a particular person who infuriated him. The senior colleague simply asked, ‘Who Said So?’ Then, he went further to say, ‘What was being spoken has no weight until I can confirm the weight of the speaker’.

That’s true also in our daily lives. Many times we allow what people, friends, colleagues, situations, and circumstances say to us cut through our hearts, thereby leading us into a vicious cycle of our own thoughts. Those words keep resonating in our minds all day, and sometimes all through the night. Who is he that says a thing and it comes to pass when the Lord has not commanded it? (Lam. 3:37).

Many of the things we worry about have no substance. A study by Cornell University found that 85% of the things people worry about never come to pass. Why bother yourself when God isn’t bothering you? Only God has the final authority over your life.

Ignore! Those words hold no waters! There are words that hold no water. Sometimes, it’s the person speaking that should be considered, not just the words spoken, and many times, the weight of the brain and/or the spiritual authority of the speaker should be considered, too.

Words spoken are, many times, not as important as the speaker of those words. What has God said about you as enshrined in the scriptures. That’s the only true verdict! Only Jesus has the final authority over your life.

What has men said to you in your office, school, saloon, or in the market? None is as important as what Jesus is saying concerning you.  He owns you. He has the legitimate authority over you. Again, who is he that sayest and comes to pass when the Lord commands it not.

Quote:  Where the word of a king is, there is power – Ecclesiastes 8:4

Prophetic Decree: By the Word of the Lord, we counter all evil words spoken against your destiny, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus

1. Any satanic inspired words hovering over my head, clear away by fire, in Jesus name.

2. Any evil word or evil counsel flying about against me in my place of work, be dismissed, in Jesus name.

3. Be shattered, O you people, and be broken in pieces! Give ear, all you from far countries. Gird yourselves, but be broken in pieces; Gird yourselves, but be broken in pieces. Take counsel together, but it will come to nothing; Speak the word, but it will not stand, For God is with us. (Isaiah 8:9-10 NKJV)

4. After the order of King Ahasuerus unto Jews, I exercise the decree of the Lord over my destiny against any counter decree, in Jesus name.

5. Wisdom of God needed to subdue the evil counsel of men, overshadow my life, in Jesus name.
