Memory VerseAnd from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by forceMatthew 11:12 (NKJV)

Evangelist Isaac Omolehin is a good definition of the scriptures which says you shall be fruitful even in old age (Psalm 92:14-15). At over 70 years old, God is still doing amazing things through him. God indeed is still in the business of announcing men at His own time and in His own way to a generation.

The man of God said: In 1988, I was anointed but poor. So I told my wife, “This anointing, what God is doing in our lives, is not making sense.” I’m going to start a fasting program. Then she told me that she would like to join me, but she wanted to know for how long.

I said, “I don’t know myself, but I will stop the fast the day I get a breakthrough. If I don’t get a breakthrough, I’ll die. I cannot continue like this.” You have to come to the realization that there are things God will not do until you are desperate. As long as you remain a casual Christian, you’ll be enjoying casual stuff. There are many things God will not do for a casual Christian.

My wife told me that if I do this fast and I get a breakthrough, she will get out of the money. I said, “Yes, of course, you’ll get some of it.” Then she said, “In that case, we should do the fast together.” But I told her, “I don’t know when it will stop. I will stop the day I see a breakthrough.”

We started the fast, and I fasted for one year. When the fast became exactly one year, my prayer partner back in the university came from Port Harcourt and gave me 1,500 Naira. That money has not finished till today. Before I finished spending it, another one came.

Since 1989, God never looked back. My anointing now makes sense. But where was God? What was God doing? God was watching me. In 1989, when the fasting had ended because the answer was now in my pocket, I wanted to return to eating food regularly, but I couldn’t. Today, I eat only once a day. My body could not return to the usual cycle of feeding. So fasting, which is the basic tool for power, became native to my body.

Quote: Until you are tired of your present situation and ready to sacrifice your convenience, God may not manifest.

Prophetic Decree: May the Holy Ghost provoke you to the junction of sacrifice for a divine turnaround, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus

1. Divine annoyance needed to break the yoke upon my Esau, enter my soul today, in Jesus name.

2. Divine desperation, needed to war with my angel, thereby converting my Jacob to Israel, be fired up in my soul, in Jesus name (Gen. 32:22-32)

3. My Father, arise, my life needs a divine shift, in Jesus name.

4. Power to break the yoke of poverty, stagnation and closed heaven, fall upon me, in Jesus name.

5. Holy Spirit, come upon me. Power of the Most High, overshadow me, in Jesus name.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Isaiah 35-36

Many pay attention to what is happening rather than what is going on. One of the greatest challenges in life and destiny is the temptation to focus only on what is happening i.e. the immediate, visible, noisy events around us while failing to discern what is really going on...
