Bible Reading:  Proverbs 6:6-10

Memory Verse:  Do you know a hard-working man? He shall be successful and stand before kings! Proverbs 22:29 (TLB)

Do not forget that as Christians, our definition of success is different from that of the world. We don’t talk “success” as it were, but “good success”. A man could be successful either by hook or by crook, but a man who follows Biblical principles to achieving great feat is said to have “good success” (Joshua 1:8).

Today, let’s learn some wisdom about good success:

1. Talent is cheaper than table salt. What separates the talented individual from the

successful one is a lot of hard work –  Stephen King.

• Good success is the sum up of small efforts repeated day -in, day-out.
• Success happens when opportunity meets preparation.
• The starting point of all achievement is desire – Napoleon Hill.
• Action is the foundational key to all success -Pablo Picasso.
• Desire is the key to motivation, but it is determination and commitment to an unrelenting pursuit of your goal – a commitment to excellence – that will enable you to attain the success you seek – Mario Andretti.
• Success is nothing more than a few simple disciplines, practiced every day – Jim Rohn.
• Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, coupled with God’s grace, you will be successful.
• The foundation stones for a balanced success are honesty, character, integrity, faith, love and loyalty – Zig Ziglar.
• You aren’t truly successful until you fulfill the counsel of God in your generation.
• Men who are indeed successful, allign their ambitions with God’s plan for their lives.

Prophetic Word: Like Daniel, the seed of good success shall speak for you even in a strange land.

Prayer Focus:

1. My Father, strengthen me to pay the required price for a successful destiny, in Jesus name.
2. Holy Spirit, empower me to ascribe all my success to God, in Jesus name.
3. Spirit of the living God, empower me afresh, in Jesus name.
4. Excellent spirit from heaven, come upon me, in Jesus name.
5. O Lord my father, let me decrease while you increase in my life, in Jesus name.
