Bible Reading: Daniel 1: 17-20

Memory VerseGod made the four young men smart and wise. They read a lot of books and became well educated. Daniel could also tell the meaning of dreams and visions. Daniel 1:17 (CEV)

A smart Nigerian kid, Ogunjobi Moyinoluwa Adekemi finished her secondary school education in flying colours. Moyinoluwa scored A1 in English language, Mathematics, Further Mathematics, and Economics, amongst other subjects. The young kid also recorded a huge success in her UTME, scoring 97 in mathematics and 94 in chemistry. The smart kid has the word “YES I CAN” pasted on her table to serve as a motivation for her to keep pushing hard towards her goal. That was not all. She sat for Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) in the same year and had an excellent score of 351.

Dr. D. K. Olukoya have often said that, “Hardwork pays”. Not slothful in business, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord the scripture says the scriptures in Romans 12:11.

There is a place for personal self motivation. As a student, your vision must be clearly written and pasted on your bedroom wall, your desk or anywhere it can easily catch your attention.

There are days you will wake up unmotivated to do any reading or studying, it is such vision that will spur and provoke you. There are days you will feel discouraged or give up, it is your vision that will drive you on. Keep the faith. Keep fighting forward. Keep moving on. Yes, you can!

Learn to prepare early for your examination from Day 1 of each session. Distract your distraction. Limit screen time. Everybody cannot be your friend. Choose friends with similar vision. Yes you can!

Quote: Nothing great happens without the virtue of self-discipline.
