Bible Reading: Mark 9:23

Memory VerseI can do all things [which He has called me to do] through Him who strengthens and empowers me [to fulfill His purpose—I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency; I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him who infuses me with inner strength and confident peace.]  Philippians 4:13 (AMP)

Here are some inspirational people who achieved great things despite being told they can’t:

1. Marie Curie: A pioneer in radioactivity research. She was the first woman to win a Nobel Prize, and the first person to win it twice. Curie faced sexism in the scientific community, but her determination and hard work led to groundbreaking discoveries.

2. Nelson Mandela: A South African anti-apartheid revolutionary, political leader, and philanthropist who served as President of South Africa from 1994 to 1999. Mandela was imprisoned for 27 years for his activism, but he never gave up on his dream of a free and equal South Africa. He is an inspiration for people all over the world who are fighting for justice. “It always seems impossible until it’s done.”

3. Helen Keller: An American author, political activist, and lecturer who was deaf and blind. Keller overcame incredible challenges to become a successful writer and advocate for the disabled. She is an inspiration for people who are struggling to overcome their own challenges.

4. Stephen Hawking: A brilliant physicist who made significant contributions to our understanding of black holes and the universe. Hawking was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) at the age of 21, a disease that gradually paralyzes the body. Despite his physical limitations, Hawking continued to conduct research and write books, including the bestselling “A Brief History of Time.” His story is an inspiration to anyone facing adversity.
