Bob Proctor said, “A mentor is someone who sees more talent and ability within you, than you see in yourself, and helps bring it out of you.” If your dreams and visions for Year 2022 must come to pass, you need the Holy Spirit as your Senior Mentor alongside other God-ordained mentors in your life. A mentor is someone you look up to for inspiration, advice, and confidence. A mentor is similar to a coach. Such a person has arrived in your tomorrow and is most willing to take you there should you follow diligently.

You draw inspiration, wisdom, encouragement, and insights from a mentor. Alysia Montaño, the woman who completed a 800 metres race while 8 months pregnant in our yesterday’s devotional said she got inspired when she learnt of Gal Gadot, who played the title role in the movie “Wonder Woman”. She filmed half of the movies while she was five months pregnant. Permit me to quote Isaac Newton who wrote in a 1675 letter to fellow scientist Robert Hooke, “If I have seen further, it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.” Montaño said, “I saw Wonder Woman and I was like, I for sure am signing up for USA nationals.”

As a student, career person, academic, professional, writer, teacher, minister etc, we all need mentors.   “Show me a successful individual and I’ll show you someone who had real positive influences in his or her life. I don’t care what you do for a living – if you do it well I’m sure there was someone cheering you on or showing you the way. A mentor.” – Denzel Washington. A mentor is someone needed to spark the flames of revival in you.

Someone needed to rekindle our dousing passion and enthusiasm when discouraged and knocked down. Life will always happen. There is no challenge free zone. Great achievement will most likely attract great antagonism. Apostle Paul said a great and mighty door has been opened unto him but there are many adversaries (1 Cor. 16:9).  You will always need someone to look up to. God blesses us through relationships.

Prophetic Decree: Any dark cloud covering your glory shall be lifted, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus

1. Thank you Holy Spirit because You are my greatest source of inspiration.

2. My star, attract destiny helpers and mentors, in Jesus name.

3. Star glazers and glory hunters, my destiny is not your candidate, in Jesus name.

4. Where is the Moses assigned to my Joshua, appear by fire, in the name of Jesus.

5. Holy Spirit, please be my spiritual shock absorber this Year 2022, in Jesus name.
