Bible Reading: Ezekiel 23: 11-15

Memory VerseTurn my eyes away from vanity [all those worldly, meaningless things that distract—let Your priorities be mine], And restore me [with renewed energy] in Your ways. Psalm 119:37 (AMP)

Ezekiel 23: 14-15 (GNT) says, “She sank deeper and deeper in her immorality. She was attracted by the images of high Babylonian officials carved into the wall and painted bright red, with sashes around their waists and fancy turbans on their heads.”

What lured Oholibah back to the sin of prostitution were “the images…carved into the wall and painted bright red”. In today’s times we can say, “the moving pictures seen on our mobile screens with state-of-the-art graphical designs.” It is sad but true that as good as the Internet is, it has done more harm than good to the average person especially the younger generation just as Oholibah.

By a single click, you are on a pornographic site. Infact, many times, the numerous pop up of pornography come looking for you without solicitation. Take caution or else you may end up like Oholibah in great destruction.

This is a clarion call for self-restraint. Use the Internet only for edifying things. Block and report any unedifying pop ups. Carefully choose your friends online. Like and share ONLY edifying contents on all your social media handles.

Your social media handles should be a revival and educative platform where you can get your spirit refired, your soul transformed and your dreams rekindled. Why should you befriend and send nude pictures to someone you have never met? Where are your godly standards? Where is your honour? May you not end like Oholibah in Jesus name.

Quote: Nothing has stolen more dreams, dashed more hopes, broken up more families, and messed up more people psychologically than our propensity to disregard God’s commands regarding sexual purity.

Prophetic Decree: This generation shall not end up like Oholibah, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus

1. Lord, we say we are sorry for wasting your investment over our generation.

2. My gadgets shall not drag my soul to hell fire, in Jesus name.

3. Lord, purge my heart, purge my soul, purge my inclinations, in Jesus name.

4. I receive grace to flee from every appearance of sin on the Internet, in Jesus name.

5. Lord, purify our air waves. The activities of the Prince of the air shall not derail my destiny, in Jesus name.

6. Holy Spirit, inspire our leaders to regulate media contents that their may be a measure of sanity, in Jesus name.

THE QUIET DESTROYERS (2)

One of the greatest dangers in the life of a believer is not the sins everyone can see, but the ones that hide quietly in the heart. These sins rarely attract attention, yet they slowly drain spiritual strength and weaken a man’s destiny. Hebrews 12:1 says, “Let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles”...

THE QUIET DESTROYERS (1)

The Quiet Destroyers are otherwise known as Secret Sins That Ruin Destiny. Many destinies have not been destroyed by loud sins, but by quiet ones. The sins nobody sees. The ones people excuse. The ones hidden behind reputation, ministry, intelligence, or success. Yet heaven sees them clearly. The Bible says, “Be sure your sin will find you out” (Numbers 32:23). Secret sins do not remain secret forever. They slowly weaken the soul until a man who once carried promise begins to lose weight in the spirit...

THE DANGER OF SECRET SIN

Bro. Gbile Akanni once shared a sobering story that has stayed in my heart for many years. He spoke about an elderly evangelist whom God used mightily in the past. In those days there was no television, only radio. When this man of God preached, people would gather around their radios. Sometimes he would say, “Place your hand on the radio.”...
