HOW DO I PREVENT TEENAGE PREGNANCY?

HOW DO I PREVENT TEENAGE PREGNANCY?

DWOJ Daily Words of Jesus Devotional Post July

Monday, 25th July, 2016.

Scripture Reading:                    2 Cor. 11:2.

Memory verse for the week:    Job 14:7

“For there is hope for a tree, If it is cut down, that it will sprout again, And that its tender shoots will not cease.”(NKJV)

  1. Abstinence mindset: You have heard “play safe” but now I say unto you “zip up”. God’s standard for sex is sure! No sex before going to the altar; not even after traditional marriage or court wedding. Heb.13:4.
  2. Be cautious: you cannot be better than the way we live our life. Don’t stay in dark or secret place “having a nice chat with that guy”. Inform people around you – your parents/ guardian/ siblings/friends- about your whereabout every time. Don’t walk alone especially at night. Be careful of who you call your friends. Run away from friends who smokes, drink “burukutu”, take alcohol etc. Once you are intoxicated with alcohol, you become an easy victim of rape which could lead to teenage pregnancy.1Cor.15:33(NIV).
  3. Understand your body changes at puberty and this shouldn’t be taken as a readiness for Parenthood. You can be physically matured to father or mother a child but raising the child up requires much more efforts.
  4. Be careful of what you listen to. Some say, “Your painful menstrual pain is as a result of you not having sex”. This is another lie of the devil to lure many a teen into having pre-marital sex.
  5. Seek the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues. He is the surest guardian, counselor, protector, comforter and friend. John 14:26.
  6. Those with uncontrollable sexual urge should go for deliverance in living Church. Remember you don’t pay any pastor or deliverance minister to get delivered. Deliverance is free. Be wise. Mat 10:8.

ACTION WORD:       PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN CURE.

PRAYER POINT:

  1. I receive grace to comport my life in all godliness, in Jesus name.
  2. Foundational power of destiny destruction hunting my life, die by fire, in the name of Jesus.

BREAKING FREE FROM CONFIRMATION BIAS (1)
