Bible reading: Rev. 21:9. Phil. 4:8

Memory Verse: “The Lord detests lying lips, but he delights in men who are Truthful “Proverbs 12:22 (NIV).

A small boy was on the witness stand in an important lawsuit. The prosecuting attorney cross-examined him, and then delivered what he thought was a crushing blow to the testimony. He asked the boy, “Your father has been telling you how to testify, has he not? “Yes,” the lad replied and did not hesitate with the answer. “Now,” said the lawyer triumphantly, “Just tell us how your father told you to testify.” “Well,” the boy said modestly, “Father told me the lawyers would try to tangle me in my testimony, but if I would just be careful to tell the truth, I will repeat the same thing every time.”

God expects us as believers to tell the truth no matter the circumstance or the personality involved. The expectation of God from you at all times is to speak and live for the truth. Every form of falsehood is detestable to God. Be honest with your parents, friends, classmates and in all your financial dealings. Remember that liars shall have their portion in the lake of fire (Rev. 21:8).

Be honest and true with men; tell them the truth, and those who may take offence initially, will afterward stand by you and approve your course.

Quote: The Truth Always Prevails.

Prophetic Word: Receive the courage to say the truth at all times in Jesus name. Amen

Prayer points:

  1. Spirit of truth, come into my heart, in the name of Jesus.
  2. I reject every lying spirit, in the name of Jesus.
