Bible Reading: Lam. 3:22-24, Psalm 19:1-3
Memory Verse: Blessed be the Lord, Who daily loads us with benefits, The God of our salvation! Psalm 68:19 (NKJV)
Having shouted “Praise ye the Lord” in your Church on the New Year day, may I ask you what have changed until now? Did your black skin suddenly turn white? Or, did your bank account swell in size for money you did not work for? I’m sure you did not automatically enter into a new class without an examination. Can we be sincere with ourselves beloved, change does not take place until we effect it!
In Genesis chapter 1, God Almighty, the Creator of heaven and the earth was tired of the darkness that enveloped the earth. He did not settle down in pity party complaining and worrying all day. God’s Spirit moved upon the surface of the earth then He began to call things that are not as if they are.
It’s another New Year. It is time to sit down and get a new vision, set a new goal for your life as you commit yourself to actualizing them if you must make a head way in life. Nothing is going to change until you enforce it. Take responsibility for your life. An aspiration is a mere wish without a time frame while a goal is a wish with a time frame set for its accomplishment. In this New Year, do not just aspire, have a goal and a workable plan to actualizing it.
