Bible Reading: Psalm 24: 3-5, Hebrews 13:4

Memory Verse:  Marriage should be honored by all and the marriage bed kept undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers. Hebrews 13:4(BSB)

The foundation of your relationship must be God. What are the definite Nine nuggets for courting couples in Year 2022:

1. The foundation of your relationship must be God. What are the definite encounters and convictions you had before the start of the courtship that pointed your partner to you? Please write it down and keep it. You will surely need to fall back on such encounters and convictions somewhere in your relationship.

2. Chastity is a watchword. Five minutes of sexual pleasure can rubbish your entire testimony. Don’t spoil your testimony.

3. Courtship is a time to harmonize your life goals and directions prayerfully, physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

4. Remember you both are human beings having blood running through your veins. Secrets don’t happen in the open. Always meet in an open environment for your discussions.

5. Try your best not to go into marriage without the consent of your parents. Parental blessings really matters. Do not let the devil who is the accuser of the brethren have any legal hold on your relationship.

6. If you ignore the weaknesses in your partner such as violent anger, malice, laziness, lack of adequate culinary skills, etc, without talking about it and jointly proffering solutions in courtship, be ready to live with it throughout your marital life.

7. Suspect a partner who keeps insisting that you keep your relationship private without the knowledge of your parents or close friends. Are you sure such a person is not planning to use you as a  “backup plan”?

8. Listen…it is one thing to profess to be a Christian and it is another thing to live as one. He is the former president of your fellowship or sister coordinator is not a good reason why you shouldn’t do all your background checks. What is the negative family pattern running in his/her family? Why is it impossible for one of his siblings of marriageable age to get married? Why is his/her father a polygamist? Why is it that no one ever gives birth to a male or female child? WATCH AND PRAY. The devil loves to hide under the radar.

9. Having said all, a broken courtship is still better than a broken marriage.

Quote: Until you are married, you are not married. Stay chaste.

Prophetic Decree:  Icommand every anti-marital altar of your father’s house to catch fire, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus

1. Thank you Jesus for loving me

2. I receive wisdom from above to have a happy courtship and marriage, in Jesus name.

3. I come against every anti-marriage altar of my father’s house in Jesus name.

4. Any evil authority of my father’s house, collide with the Rock of Ages, in Jesus name.

5. Every evil authority within and around me, be wasted, in Jesus name.

6. I pluck off the prying eyes of environmental powers in my marital journey, in Jesus name.

7. Any wicked power that has vowed I will not marry while they are alive, O ground, open up and swallow them all, in Jesus name.
