Bible Reading: 2 Corinthians 10:4-5
Memory Verse: For as he thinks within himself, so he is. He says to you. Proverbs 23:7a (NASB)
The intangible things are, many atimes, the most important things of life. No one has ever seen the mind yet, it is a basic unit that controls a man’s life. You become what you think. Changing your thoughts is the only way you can really change your life to a more positive course and it’s the only way to live the good life you really want. Your thoughts are kind of instructions for your future self on what to become.
Mahatma Gandhi, says, “Your beliefs become your thoughts, your thoughts become your words, your words become your actions, your actions become your habits, your habits become your values and your values become your destiny.” An important fact of life is that the greatest power you always have is changing the angle of how you look at things. People with rigid mindset believe that their character and potential are unchangeable. With your rigid mindset, you assume things are as they are and there is nothing you can do about it; the only thing you can do is hope for a stroke of good luck from time to time.
People with rigid mindset avoid challenges, avoid failure, refuses to learn, they are self-labeling, they are defensive, always shift blames to others, ignores constructive criticism, and they plateau in different areas of life very early. With a rigid mindset, you give up early on every challenge you undertake and you see any kind of effort as pointless. Here are a few examples of thinking based on the rigid mindset:
1. Why should I bother, it won’t change anything anyway?
2. I’m either good at something or I’m not.
3. I don’t like challenges.
4. When I fail, I’m a complete loser.
5. The success of other people threatens me.
Brethren, shall we keep our minds open? There will always be a way of getting things better done.
Quote: Demons maximize the various platforms we provide for them in our mindset.
Prophetic Decree: I cast down every satanic stronghold in my heart, in Jesus name.
Prayer Focus
1. Thank you for your fresh breath upon my mind, in Jesus name.
2. I break every foothold of the devil in my mindset, in Jesus name.
3. I destroy every negative mindset that has captured my life in captivity, in Jesus mighty name.
4. Holy Spirit, break the fallow ground of my mind, in Jesus mighty name.
5. I receive grace to see and maximize opportunities, in Jesus name.
