Bible Reading: Galatians 5: 16-18
Memory Verse: So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves. Galatians 5:16 (NLT)
1. You are one person with a temperous anger. How do you deal with this?
a. Force yourself to sing a love song to Jesus. b. Don’t respond back to the person making you angry. “Speak when you are angry- and you will make the best speech you will ever regret” – Dr. Laurence J. Peter. c. Take a walk outside the angry zone. This is how to mortify the flesh.
2. You are deep into fornication, adultery, pornography, masturbation, prostitution, and all manner of sexual immorality. How do you deal with this? a. Genuine repentance. b. Go for deliverance to cast out the spirit of immorality. c. Be filled with the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues. d. Burn the bridge. Stay away from devices e.g. Internet enabled phones and sexual sin partners that arouse such ungodly passion. e. Be accountable to a spiritual authority. f. Engage your mind productively. An idle hand is the devil’s workshop.
3. As a backbiter: Cut your friendship away from your backbiting friend.
4. As a wife/husband beater: Reckon your hand dead to Christ (Romans 6:11). Ask yourself: If truly my hands are crucified with Christ, will I beat my better half ?
5. As a Yahoo boy: Repentance. Openly confess your sins. Restitute. Learn a new trade. Pray for the fear of God. Discipleship. Learn to be contented.
General Way Out of The Works of the flesh
1. Reject the voice of condemnation (Romans 8:1). Jesus still loves you despite your loads of sin. “Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They shall be as wool.” Isaiah 1: 18b (NKJV)
2. Rely on the finished work of Calvary. Human efforts or rules can fail you, but God’s grace will never fail you (Galatians 2:20).
3. Pray more for the spirit of the fear of God to envelope your life.
4. Don’t give up on God and don’t give up on yourself: Should you relapse to your past vomit or old way of life, know for sure that you can always come boldly to the throne of grace at all times and any day.
5. Strive against sin with all your life (Heb. 12:4). Personal discipline without the grace of God will fail you. However, personal discipline with the grace of God will free you from the shackles of sin. You are now a living sacrifice unto God.
6. Bible Reading, meditation and memorization: This is very important. Memorize scriptures such as Romans 6:14, Romans 6:11, 1 Thessalonians 4:4, Galatians 2:20, etc. Read it out loud. Sing it. Meditate on it. Chant it….. until it enters into your spirit man.
7. Baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues (Acts 1:8). You can’t fight an age long enemy with human strength.

Prophetic Decree: Henceforth, your flesh shall no more have dominion over you, in Jesus name.
Prayer Focus
1. Blood of Jesus, cleanse me from all unrighteousness, in Jesus name.
2. Holy Spirit, purge me with your fire and make me whole.
3. Sanctifying fire of the Holy Ghost, enter me now, in Jesus mighty name.
4. I break the grip of sin and death in my life, in Jesus name.
5. Holy Spirit, please possess me. Make me addicted to knowing you, loving you, and seeking you, in Jesus mighty name.
