Bible Reading: Deuteronomy 24:7, Exodus 21:16

Memory VerseWe have escaped like a bird from the hunter’s net; the net is torn, and we have escaped. Psalm 124:7 (CSB)

The Longman Dictionary of Contemporary English defines kidnaping as taking someone somewhere illegally by force, often in order to get money for returning them. Charles Brewster (born May 4, 1870 – disappeared July 1, 1874) who was only 4 years old at that time was the primary victim of the first American kidnapping for ransom to receive widespread media coverage. His fate remains unknown till date after 148 years. Indeed, kidnapping has been on for a long time. In recent times, you will see captions such as this in the dailies, “Kidnappers collected 10.7 million naira”, “Kidnapped cocoa merchant escape while abductors slept off”, “Prof kidnapped whisked into the forest”, etc. To make matters worse, these kidnappers work hand in hand with ritualist. Should they perceive they won’t be able to get money from a victim, they could kill such and sell their body parts to the crème de la crème of the society, ritualist, cultist, evil clergymen, etc.

Indeed we are in a terrible world! Sometimes, there could be a particular community noted for kidnapping, and even the government wouldn’t be able to do anything despite public outcry because they are part of the system especially when elections are drawing close. Kidnapping is becoming a very lucrative evil business. Some well known kidnappers are now addressed with the title “Billionaire kidnapper”. Sometimes you think the government of the day will kill such people when caught, rather they will sentence them to life imprisonment with the hope of granting them amnesty in the future after the initial public cry had subsided. God help our world. A woman who was released from the web of kidnappers said while in the forest the kidnappers were professionals. She said they had a standard kitchen, cooks, and all manner of professionals working with them including Medical doctors. They even offered her a variety of African or continental dishes! You see, when the abnormal becomes normal only the supernatural can remedy the situation. Wait a minute. Are there no satellite images that can be used to track these wicked people who have thrown families into pain and penury? God save our world. No wonder the Bible says, “the dark places of the earth are full of the habitations of cruelty” (Psalm 74:20).

Quote: Insurgence and all forms of evil in a society doesn’t describes her as a failure, but vividly shows a lack of love for one another – Michael Bassey Johnson.

Prophetic Decree:  You shall not be a victim of kidnapping, in Jesus name

MYTHS ABOUT WORKING IN HEALING AND THE MIRACULOUS (1)

A myth is a popular belief or tradition that has grown up around something or someone which is usually unfounded and a false notion.
