Bible Reading: 1 Corinthians 10:12

Memory Verse:  If you think you are standing strong, be careful not to fall.  1 Corinthians 10:12 (NLT)

The internet could be very distractive if you are not disciplined. A woman who was deeply engrossed with her phone fell into a manhole while her baby was in her hands in the country of India. Many have had terrible accident while driving and watching “interesting contents” on their internet enabled phone. Be disciplined to stay away from your phone when driving. A minute of carelessness could be disastrous. Even hands-free devices should be rarely used.

The Internet could enslave, ensnare and could turn to a subtle addiction. Young people are foremost victims.  Nevertheless, older people are now getting addicted to the Internet. There is this case of a fully grown matured woman deeply attached to her phone.

Without the fear of God in your heart, an internet enabled phone could turn to a mass destructor of destiny. You are only a click away from great materials that could enrich your life, and at the same time, you are only a click away from contents that could destroy your destiny and make you a victim of deliverance, if care is not taken, for a very long time. Your choices will always serve you right. Desist from all materials and contents that can pollute your heart and subsequently pollute your destiny on the Internet.

Anything left unchecked have been known to spoil over time. Parents should be very deliberate about monitoring the screen time of their children in this fast pacing 21st century. The other time, a young lady locked herself up in her box as a result of strange instructions given to her on a site she visited. Save for God’s grace, she could have been long dead. Only a compelling foul spirit could have backed up such words. Let’s take heed.

Quote: You have been spending hours watching your “idols” on the internet. What will you do with your own life that will make your generation listen and watch you, too.

Prophetic Decree:  Receive grace for self-restraint, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus

1. I receive grace to discern accurately, in Jesus name.

2. I receive grace for self-discipline, in Jesus name.

3. I pull down all altars of desecration, in Jesus name.

4. I receive wisdom to live a life devoid of pollution, in Jesus name.

5. I refuse to be a deterrent for other internet users, in Jesus name.

Many pay attention to what is happening rather than what is going on. One of the greatest challenges in life and destiny is the temptation to focus only on what is happening i.e. the immediate, visible, noisy events around us while failing to discern what is really going on...
