Bible Reading: Ezekiel 23: 11-15

Memory Verse:  Lest Satan should take advantage of us; for we are not ignorant of his devices. 2 Corinthians 2:11 (NKJV)

Ezekiel 23 is a metaphor of two sinful sisters named Oholah and Oholibah representing the people of Samaria and Jerusalem respectively. When these two sisters were younger they lived in Egypt and were prostitutes. This is similitude of when you were not born again and lost in sin. The Lord, who is full of mercies eventually married them. He washed them by the Blood of the lamb and they both became his bride.

Unfortunately, like a dog who always goes back to his vomit, Oholah went back to prostitution especially with men in the corridors of power such as the Assyrian military officers. The Lord was not pleased. He handed her over to her Assyrian lovers who stripped her naked, seized her sons and daughters, and then killed her with a sword.

Now, this caught my attention! I was thinking that Oholibah, the younger sister of Oholah will take caution having seen the way her elder sister ended. It may interest you that she did worse. But, what really happened? Didn’t she see the way her sister ended up her life? Hear me, beloved. The devil has been dealing with man for thousands of years.

He knows your family code. He knows the buttons to press, the strategy to adopt, the weakness to stir, and you may end up like those who were before you. Imagine if your grandfather was a confirmed adulterer who married five wives, and you saw the way they mesmerised his life as a result of polygamous witchcraft.

Your father tried to escape the onslaught of the spirit of fornication in your lineage but eventually ended up impregnating another woman outside wedlock. Now, you claim to be a married Christian brother but find certain type of women very attractive to you. Arise and fight that spirit.

It is the same family spirit of fornication trying to gain full entrance into your life first through lust. Resist and fight it to a stand still on the altar of targeted foundational deliverance prayers and radical self-discipline. Your destiny is not for sale, in Jesus name. Be guided. Grace unto you. Amen.

Quote: When a spirit is at work, it takes more than discipline to have a firm self-control.

Prophetic Decree: I curse every sexual spirit manipulating your soul, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus

1. Lord, I am sorry for frustrating your grace again and again.

2. Lord, please help me to learn from the mistakes of others, in Jesus name.

3. I reject all the sophisticated weapons of the enemy fired against my soul, in Jesus name.

4. Holy Spirit, circumcise my heart, in the name of Jesus.

5. Thou foundational spirit of sexual immorality, you shall not gain entrance into my heart via any means, in Jesus name.

6. I refuse to repeat negative family spirit of sexual lust, in Jesus name.

SINGLES AND MARRIED: LOVE ALONE IS NOT ENOUGH (2)
