BUSINESS TIPS FOR CHRISTIANS

BUSINESS TIPS FOR CHRISTIANS

DWOJ Daily Words of Jesus Devotional Post March

I celebrate the grace of God upon Teacher Emeka Anslem. As a Christian, when it comes to growing your business, you only have two assignments. Let me show you from scriptures:

1 Corinthians 3:

6 I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.

7 So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.

8 Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour.

9 For we are labourers together with God: ye are God’s husbandry, ye are God’s building.

That’s right! Don’t worry yourself about the increase or how it would come, that’s totally out of your jurisdiction. Your job descriptions are clearly stated; plant and water.

Plan, strategise, and then render the service. While planting means strategic planning, watering means execution or rendering service. When these two are diligently done, then all that is left is God’s part, bringing the increase.

This is why many Christians struggle in business, they try to bring the increase. They strive for public endorsements from prominent people just so they could get referrals. These things may work for the world, but God will be jealous if you do that in the kingdom. Why would you need a human endorsement when you’re in partnership with The Creator?

Don’t get me wrong. It’s not bad if you get a voluntary endorsement, chances are that it was God who moved them to endorse you. But if you had to lobby or struggle around people just to get an endorsement, then you clearly don’t know your God.

I’ve heard desperate Christians say things like, “God will use a man to bless a man”. Truth is, God doesn’t have to, and even if He chooses to, He’d also choose which man to use, not you. So looking for who to endorse you is out of place.

Focus on your assignment. Some of you have a terrible structure in your business. You keep praying for enlargement, yet you haven’t created a system to accommodate the enlargement.

I won’t forget how Bishop Oyedepo taught us this principle in one of our empowerment summits. He said, “We’ve been praying to God to gather multitudes of people into our services at Faith Tabernacle, but seeing that the Tabernacle is already full, when they come, will they stand outside to attend service?”. That was when we started building the tents around the Faith Tabernacle. He later mentioned that God told him that there was no system to accommodate the multitudes we were praying for.

I had a drycleaner whose service delivery was extremely poor. Whenever I made an obvious complain on any cloth, you won’t believe he’d charge an extra money to re-wash the cloth. This is something a secular business man won’t do. He’d not only re-wash for free, he’d also compensate you for the inconvenience.

Many pay attention to what is happening rather than what is going on. One of the greatest challenges in life and destiny is the temptation to focus only on what is happening i.e. the immediate, visible, noisy events around us while failing to discern what is really going on...

INDISCIPLINE: PROBLEM AND SOLUTION (2)

Indiscipline in teens and young adults is the behaviour, intentional or unintentional, that defies rules, expectations, and authority. It is often a normal part of adolescent development and can range from minor misbehaviour to more serious, disruptive conduct.
