Bible Reading: Job 32:8, Proverbs 2:6

Memory VerseBut there is [a vital force and] a spirit [of intelligence] in man, And the breath of the Almighty gives them understandingJob 32:8 (AMP)

William Sidis was born in the US (April 1, 1898 – July 17, 1944) in the 20th century with an estimated IQ test of between 250 and 300. He was able to read the New York Times at the age of 18 months and spoke 8 languages by the age of 8 including French, Hebrew and Turkish.  He had a secured place in Harvard since he was 9 years old. He gave his first lecture as a Mathematical genius the following year on the fourth dimension to an audience of scientists and journalists.

He was very bad in social relations, he was mocked and considered a circus freak. He briefly became a teacher BUT GAVE UP EVERYTHING AND REJECTED mathematics altogether. He spent his life doing odd jobs moving from city to city under aliases to avoid recognition. He died suddenly in 1944 of an intracerebral hemorrhage; forgotten by all in poverty with no major contribution to the world of science.

Did William Sidis Miss It in Destiny? Two perspectives:

I. Early promise, unfulfilled potential:  Sidis was a child prodigy with exceptional intellectual abilities. He entered Harvard at 11 and had a bright future ahead. However, he actively sought a life of privacy and disliked public attention.  He ended up working as a clerk and avoided using his full mathematical talents. From this perspective, Sidis didn’t achieve the kind of fame or groundbreaking work his potential suggested.

II. Living on his own terms: Sidis prioritized a quiet life away from the spotlight. He pursued his interests in writing and languages and achieved some success with publications under pseudonyms.  In this view, he achieved his goal of living a private life and followed his own path, which can be a valid definition of success.

BALANCE: Irrespective of your definition of success, remember Doxazo! – you must reveal the glory of God to your generation to the measure of His grace in your life. You won’t die without emptying yourself to the glory of God and benefit of mankind in Jesus name. Don’t allow your temperament deprive you of full scale maximisation of your God-given potentials. The nations are waiting to hear of you. Don’t stop yourself.

Quote: Your temperament must not stand in the way of the full expression of God’s glory through your life.

Prophetic Decree: The enemy shall not use you against yourself, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus

1. Thank you Father for lavishing me with divine treasures and potentials peculiar to me.

2. I receive grace to go the extra length for Jesus, in Jesus name.

3. O Lord, refine my temperament if this is needed for me to fulfil my purpose maximally, in Jesus name.

4. I come against any physical, spiritual or social factors fighting against the manifestation and unveiling of the glory of God in my life, in Jesus name.

5. I will not die loaded but grounded, in Jesus name.
