THE RESTRAINING POWER OF VISION (2)

THE RESTRAINING POWER OF VISION (2)

Bible Reading: 1 Corinthians 9: 25-27 KJV/NLT

Memory VerseWhere there is no vision, the people are unrestrained, But happy is he who keeps the lawProverbs 29:18 (NASB)

Shall we conclude on 15 facts about the restraining power of vision:

11. You must not be opportunity driven. Rather, you should be vision driven. Jesus didn’t embrace the opportunity He was given to become the people’s king (Luke 4: 42-43). Some opportunities could take you out of your vision.

12. The vision of Nehemiah and the people constrained them to wear only one cloth for a while, using one hand to build, and the other to fight their enemy (Neh. 4:15-23). “Why haven’t you bought a car?” The vision of having an investment in real estate might have constrained him.

13. Don’t allow people to come to your life to change your vision.

14. Men and women who have a vision to build lovely and godly families don’t take certain jobs. Sometimes, it is not about more money, but more availability.

15. Whether you have a vision or not, life is counting. When you know where you are going, you should know that not all roads will take you there. Your vision is your permanent address. Destiny can be called destination. Therefore, destiny dictates decisions. If you don’t care where you will end up, it doesn’t matter which way you take. Consistency in the wrong road will never lead you in the right direction.

Challenge:

1. What is the vision you have for your spiritual life? As young as you are, you haven’t generated enough power to confront those feeding you in the dream: You are not yet baptised with the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking tongues, you don’t have a structured Quiet time, you can’t pray for 1 hour a day?

2. Academic/Professional/Career vision: Perhaps you are resuming school in the next few weeks. Is it the same type of result you brought home last term you’re going to bring home again? How do you intend to scale up your grades? What vision do you have as a professional and career person?

3. Skill Acquisition: Beyond the school walls, you must acquire a skill perhaps as a volunteer. Also, acquire technical skill, musical skill, sporting skills, etc.

4. Financial vision: Any financial vision you have must be kingdom related. Think about orphanages, the widows, evangelizing the 10/40 window, missions, etc.

Quote: Vision without execution is hallucination.

Prophetic Decree: I cast out every spirit of laziness and procrastination inhibiting the fulfilment of your vision, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus

1. I receive clarity and deep self-restrain to execute my spiritual vision in Year 2025, in Jesus name.

2. I receive clarity and deep self-restrain to execute my academic vision in Year 2025, in Jesus name.

3. I receive clarity and deep self-restrain to execute my financial vision in Year 2025, in Jesus name.

4. I receive clarity and deep self-restrain to execute my self-improvement vision in Year 2025, in Jesus name.
