Bible Reading: Habakkuk 2:1-4

Memory Verse:  Put it in writing, because it is not yet time for it to come true. But the time is coming quickly, and what I show you will come true. It may seem slow in coming, but wait for it; it will certainly take place, and it will not be delayed. Habakkuk 2:3 (GNT)

I have heard countless stories of young people who absconded school for ministry. They claimed God has called them. Friend, permit me to say that there is no one that doesn’t have the call of God upon him/her. He gave gifts to all men (including women). Same spirit, different operations. Please calm down.

The real problem is that you haven’t allowed the Holy Spirit curtail the same fire He gave you. God has only started with Introduction (Chapter 1) in the project of your destiny, but you assume He is in Conclusion (Chapter 5). Please don’t mistake unbridled passion for divine time. God, like a blacksmith, forges before He commissions.

Even the Holy Spirit needs a refined mind. In this 21st century, there are people who may not be willing to listen to you until they are sure you are well educated. If men could dislike charlatans, how much more God? Disciple your anointing. Exercise self-restraint. The vision is for an appointed time. He is a God of time and season.

Bro Joshua Banjo further advised:

1. Your brain is not a distraction. It is a tool for divine excellence. You have to be intentional and make studying your priority too. Show up in class for a purpose (Daniel 1:28)

2. Your results can preach louder than your sermons. In school, your transcript can open doors that your tongues cannot (Colossians 3:23).

3. Ministry doesn’t excuse laziness – it demands discipline. My little advice is that you create a calendar. Manage your time like someone on assignment.

4. It is not carnal to be competent. Even Jesus grew in wisdom (Luke 2:52). My advice is that you invest in books, mentors, and critical thinking.

5. When you study, it is not just for degree. It’s training for destiny. You need to stop seeing school as a delay. It is a divine training ground.

6. Don’t romantize full time ministry. Prepare for it. I worked in HR and I gained structure, discipline, and people’s skills that I’m currently using now. Let your secular work season sharpen your ministerial flow.

7. God is not in a rush. He’s in the business of preparation. God is glorified when your mind is renewed and not neglected.

Quote: Why rush process? An undone yam is unpalatable for eating.

Prophetic Decree:  Receive wisdom to understand the process of time and seasons, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus

1. Thank you Holy Spirit for your hand of grace and glory upon my life.

2. By the mercies of God, my glory shall speak, in the name of Jesus.

3. I receive grace to balance student life with good work ethics, in Jesus name.

4. Holy Spirit, help me to understand the intricacies of my calling. I refuse to rush seasons, in Jesus name.

5. Holy Spirit, please give me a correct perspective to ministry, in Jesus name.
