Bible Reading: 2 Kings 4:1

Memory Verse:  And you shall remember the LORD your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this dayDeuteronomy 8:18 (NKJV)

Rev. Sam Oye wrote: Have you ever looked at your life and asked, “Why am I so anointed yet still broke?” You pray, fast, serve diligently, and even operate in powerful spiritual gifts, yet your bank account constantly cries for help. You give, tithe, and sow seeds, but you’re still hustling to meet basic needs.

This tension, being spiritually rich but financially poor is a painful reality many Christians face but few talk about. This isn’t about lack of faith or disobedience; sometimes, it’s simply that no one ever taught you the full picture of how Kingdom Wealth works.

2 Kings 4:1 (KJV) says, “The widow cried out to Elisha, saying, ‘Your servant my husband is dead… and the creditor is coming to take my two sons.’”

This widow’s husband was a prophet, an anointed man who walked closely with God, but he died broke, leaving behind debts. He had Oil in the spirit but had not translated it into resources on earth. That’s many of us today, gifted but struggling. Even Elisha himself, though he performed mighty miracles, was dependent on others for support and sustenance. Jesus had no fixed income, yet He was never in lack because He understood Kingdom systems and lived from a place of divine supply.

The Reality: Why You’re Anointed but Still Struggling:

1. Anointing Does Not Automatically Equal Wealth: The Oil of God on your life is meant to break yokes (Isaiah 10:27), but it doesn’t replace the wisdom, systems, and discipline needed for financial stewardship.

2. Kingdom Wealth Is Both Spiritual and Practical: Many believers stop at the spiritual side – tithing, sowing, and praying. But they ignore the practical side – budgeting, investment, skill acquisition, and value creation.

3. Church Culture Has Over-Spiritualized Money: We’ve been taught that just “believing” or “giving” will bring us money, but wealth in the Kingdom is tied to principles, purpose, and productivity.

4. Poverty Is Not Always a Sign of Holiness: Some anointed people unconsciously wear poverty as a badge of spirituality. But that’s not God’s will.

QuoteDivine principles must merge with economic principles to produce your testimony.

Prophetic Decree: Let there be a reconstruction in your most dominant mindset about wealth, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus

1. Holy Spirit, damage my ignorance today, in Jesus name.

2. Water of life, purge my mind from every wrong programming about Kingdom Wealth, in Jesus name.

3. Let there be a paradigm shift in my attitude and quest towards money in Jesus name.

4. Blood of Jesus, wash away anything I have been wrongly told about money that is affecting my finances, in Jesus name.

5.  I receive the power to prosper alongside wisdom to manage prosperity, in Jesus name.
