Bible Reading:  Psalm 119:9–11; 1 Corinthians 6:18–20

Memory Verse:  Then I said, I will not make mention of Him… But His word was in my heart like a burning fire shut up in my bones; I was weary of holding it back, and I could not.  Jeremiah 20:9

Pornography is often treated as just a bad habit or a private struggle, but from a deliverance perspective, it goes deeper than that. It is not only what you see, it is what you connect to. You connect to marine spirits anytime you watch porn.

Think of a transparent glass. When you look through it, you are not just seeing the surface, you are seeing beyond it. In the same way, pornography is not just images on a screen. It can become a spiritual gateway, opening a person up to invisible marine spirit influence that feed lust, weaken spiritual strength, and dull sensitivity to God.

Lust is not a small issue in the spirit. It is often the entry point. The enemy rarely starts with destruction; he starts with attraction. Once a person is entangled in lust, it becomes easier to manipulate their thoughts, weaken their discipline, and distance them from God. That is why Scripture says to flee from sexual immorality, not manage it.

There is also a dangerous cycle: the more you watch, the more you are drawn in. It begins to feel like something is watching back, because spiritually, you have opened a door. Whether you fully understand this or not, the effect is real: addiction, shame, loss of spiritual fire, and disconnection from purpose.

But here is the hope. Deliverance is possible. The same way something can be “put in,” it can be burned out. Not by willpower alone, but by the power of God’s Word.

The Word of God does two powerful things:

I. It is a mirror: It shows you who you truly are, beyond the addiction. You are not a slave to lust; you are a child of God.

II. It is a fire: It purges, cleanses, and burns away every residue of impurity in your spirit.

When Jeremiah tried to stay silent, the Word burned within him until it overcame resistance. In the same way, when you consistently expose yourself to God’s Word, it begins to uproot every hidden bondage.

Freedom doesn’t come by hiding the struggle, it comes by confronting it with light. Fill your heart with Scripture, guard your eyes intentionally, and cut off access points that lead you back into temptation. As you do, the grip of pornography begins to weaken, and your spiritual sensitivity returns.

You are not meant to live bound, you are meant to live free.

Quote:  Lust doesn’t just entertain, it entangles. Similarly, the Word of God doesn’t just inform; it transforms and delivers.

Prophetic Decree: I declare that every chain of lust and addiction over your life is broken in your life, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus

1. Lord, cleanse my heart and mind from every effect of pornography, in Jesus name.

2. Father Lord, help me to hate what defiles and love what is pure, in Jesus name.

3. O God, let Your Word burn in me and uproot every hidden bondage, in Jesus name.

4. O Lord, give me discipline to guard my eyes and my thoughts daily, in Jesus name.

5. Father, please restore my spiritual sensitivity and draw me closer to You, in Jesus name.
