Bible Reading: Luke 15:11–24; 1 Corinthians 7:14

Memory VerseBelieve in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your householdActs 16:31 (NIV)

There is a quiet frustration many believers carry. You love God. You are committed. You pray. You serve. But someone very close to you—a child, a parent, a sibling—is not walking with God. And if you are honest, it bothers you deeply. Not just because of them, but because of you.

You begin to think: “How can I be this devoted and yet my family member is like this?” “What will people say if they know we are related?”

Without realizing it, their journey becomes a reflection of your image. Their struggle becomes your embarrassment.

But here is the truth: their salvation is not about you. God gently reminds us: “I know them more than you do. I love them more than you ever could.”

Sometimes, your proximity to that person is not a mistake, it is an assignment. God trusted you enough to place you in their life, not as a judge, but as an intercessor.

You are not there to fix them, control them, or shame them. You are there to pray them through, love them consistently, stand in the gap until light breaks in.

Even Jesus experienced this. His own family did not fully believe in Him at first. Yet He did not attack or shame them—He stayed faithful to His mission and allowed God to work in His timing.

People don’t change because of pressure.

They change because of the work of the Holy Spirit. So yes, set boundaries where needed. Yes, don’t enable wrong behaviour. But never weaponise what you know about them.

Instead, love them, pray for them, and trust God for them because at the end of the day, the goal is not reputation, but eternity together.

QuoteGod did not place you in that family to expose them, but to stand in the gap until they are transformed.

Prophetic Decree: I declare that every member of your family will encounter the saving power of Jesus.

Prayer Focus

1. My Father, remove every trace of pride and make my heart tender, in Jesus name.

2. Lord, please give me patience to trust Your process in my family, in Jesus name.

3. O Lord, please help me to love both the saved and the unsaved family members without condemnation, in Jesus name.

4. O Lord, please strengthen me to stand in the gap in prayer for my unsaved family members until salvation comes, in Jesus name.

5. Satanic blanket over the souls of my family members, catch fire, in Jesus name.
