Bible Reading: 1 Corinthians 6:18–20
Memory Verse: Flee fornication… He that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body. 1 Corinthians 6:18
There is a deception in this generation that sex outside marriage is just “fun,” just “normal,” just “physical.” But the truth is deeper and more serious.
Every sexual encounter is more than physical. It is a spiritual engagement. It is not just an act. It is a transaction.
This is because something leaves you, and something enters you.
The Bible makes it clear: Sexual sin is different. While many sins are outside the body, this one touches your body, your spirit, and your destiny at once.
1. SEX IS A SPIRITUAL EXCHANGE: Sex creates a bond beyond emotions. It opens a door. When you join yourself to someone, you are not only connecting with them, you may also be connecting with their past, their struggles, and their spiritual baggage. What looks like pleasure can become a transfer point of unseen burdens.
2. SEX CAN ALTER DESTINY: Consider the story of Joseph (Genesis 39). At a critical moment in his life, he faced sexual temptation through Potiphar’s wife. If he had fallen his journey might have ended in comfort but cut off from purpose, he may never have reached the palace, and his destiny would have been quietly buried. Sometimes the enemy doesn’t destroy you with hardship, he distracts you with pleasure at the wrong time.
3. THE ENEMY USES SEX AS A WEAPON: Sexual immorality is one of the enemy’s most effective tools because it feels harmless, it is easily accessible, and it blinds spiritual sensitivity. Many struggles people face today are rooted in unguarded moments of the past – decisions made without understanding the long-term impact.
4. WHAT FEELS SMALL CAN BECOME SERIOUS: One careless encounter can weaken spiritual strength, distort clarity of purpose, and open doors to demons of poverty, poor health, and numerous afflictions. It gives the devil a legal ground over your life because you’ve broken the edge. The danger is not always immediate. Sometimes it is gradual, silent, and deeply rooted.
5. GOD’S CALL: FLEE, NOT NEGOTIATE: The instruction is not “manage it” or “control it.” It is FLEE. Like Joseph, sometimes the only winning move is to walk away, run if necessary, and refuse to entertain the moment. Your destiny is too valuable to gamble with temporary pleasure.
Quote: Flee…don’t negotiate sexual immorality.
Prophetic Decree: Dog spirit fighting your destiny, dies today, in Jesus name.
