Bible Reading: Psalm 27: 13-14

Memory Verse: Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise. Hebrews 10:23 (NLT)

Dele Olawanle, a coach, thinker, writer, speaker, Solicitor and Pastor writes: This is a very difficult time for many immigrants, and I am representing some of them as they seek solutions.

But from my personal experience, it may be part of God’s way of training some of you reading this in endurance, patience, resilience, faith, creativity, and being adventurous.

I battled the immigration authorities of the UK for 10 solid years despite being married to a British citizen and having 3 children who are also British Citizens. I was an overstayer by a few days.

I reported to the police station three times a week for 8 years. I reported at London Bridge, Hornsey Lane, Edmonton, St. Ann’s Road, and Wood Green police stations. Every time I changed accommodation, they moved the police station. It was a nightmare.

After reporting for 7 years, they finally decided to deport me. They locked me up, took me to Gatwick Airport to deport me, we got an injunction, and they could not take me. They then locked me up at a detention center for close to five weeks.

I did not lie down in detention. I was always leading people to pray and fast. I taught them that God is able. I did not cry or faint. Every time my wife called, they told her I was praying. She had to remind me that “Mr. Man, I and our children are crying daily”. Eventually, they released me. I used 7 different law firms and went to court several times.

I did not spend those days moaning. I planned my future. I studied law and went through law school in great pain and self-sponsored my education. Today, I am a beneficiary of my resilience and run a thriving legal practice and ministry. If you give up, you won’t go up. Psalm 27:13-14 will help you.

My question is, what are you doing whilst waiting? Tears cannot help you. Being creative will, and some of you have the social media to make some money. If you are inventive, you will not be hungry.

Finally, having an immigration status will not solve all your problems. Many people with British passports and leave to remain are still hungry. It is not what you have, but what you do with it that matters. What are you going to do when you get the right to live in the UK? Many people have no clue.

By the time I got my right to remain in the UK, I was ready to make a generational impact without living on benefits. Be the same, and God bless you.

Quote: There is always a purpose in pain.

Prophetic Decree: Foundational altars in conjunction with territorial altars shall not about God’s plan for your life, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus

1. Lord, please show me the purpose behind my present challenges, in Jesus name.

2. Foundational altars fighting my establishment in my Canaanland, catch fire, in Jesus name.

3. O Lord, open my eyes to the project of my prosperity and give me the willingness to pursue it, in Jesus name.

4. I receive grace to fight and win my way into destiny, in Jesus name.

5. Cycle of repeated problems in my Canaanland, be terminated, by the Blood of the Lamb of God that was slain in Calvary.
