Bible Reading: Psalm 80:19, Habakkuk 3:2

Memory Verse:  Will You not revive us again, that Your people may rejoice in You? Psalm 85:6

The United Kingdom, once known as a light to the nations, sent missionaries such as William Carey, David Livingstone, and Hudson Taylor across the globe. Churches were full. The Bible shaped education, politics, and morality. Do you know? The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), the national public service broadcaster of the United Kingdom and one of the oldest and most respected media organisations in the world once included Christian services, sermons, hymns, and regular “Daily Service” segments in their broadcast? Do you know? The British Parliament was built on biblical values. Do you know? Great revivals like the Welsh Revival, led by Evan Roberts shook the entire nation. But today, spiritual apathy, moral decadence, and secularism have crept in.

According to UN religious research: Christianity is expected to grow by 65% worldwide in the long-term, especially in Africa and Asia. But in the West, it’s declining. Meanwhile, witchcraft and shamanism are among the fastest-growing belief systems in the UK and USA.

Media programmes like Harry Potter popularised occult themes as a fantasy novel, but it romanticises witchcraft and portrays magic positively. This opened the door to mainstream acceptance of occult symbols and language. While many argue it’s just fiction, it created spiritual curiosity in younger generations; some of whom later explore real occult practices. New Age spirituality has quietly replaced the fear of the Lord. “They exchanged the truth of God for a lie…” (Romans 1:25). The danger isn’t the book alone, but how it softened public resistance to real spiritual darkness.

New Age spirituality has quietly replaced the fear of the Lord. Many Westerners today mix yoga, crystals, astrology, manifesting, and energy healing. These are New Age practices, rooted in Eastern mysticism, pantheism (the worship or tolerance of many gods), and self-worship. The biblical fear of the Lord, which teaches reverence, holiness, and submission has been replaced by self-deification (“I am the universe”, “speak your truth”).

QuoteA revival is nothing less than a revolution, casting out the spirit of worldliness and selfishness, and making God and His love triumph in the heart and life – Andrew Murray.

Prophetic Decree: Every territorial stronghold quenching the fire of revival shall be destroyed, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus

1. We repent of our sins, carelessness, and spiritual lukewarmness as individuals and as a nation, in Jesus name.

2. We break the hold of the devil in our lives and society, in Jesus name.

3. O Lord, please set our hearts on fire for you, in Jesus name.

4. Fire of revival, light upon our nations, in Jesus name.

POWER FOR HONOURABLE CONNECTION (2)

THE QUIET DESTROYERS (2)

One of the greatest dangers in the life of a believer is not the sins everyone can see, but the ones that hide quietly in the heart. These sins rarely attract attention, yet they slowly drain spiritual strength and weaken a man’s destiny. Hebrews 12:1 says, “Let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles”...
