Bible reading: Psa. 50: 1-15.

Memory verse: “Gather to me my faithful ones, who made a covenant with me by sacrifice! “Psalm 50:15(RSV)

Solomon had a problem of leading the Israelites in the wisdom of God. He decided to offer a sacrifice unto God. Consequently, he became the wisest man and king with much affluence.

Joshua had a problem when Jericho was strictly shut up against the children of Israel. Along with the children of Israel, they offered a “walk sacrifice” of 6 days around Jericho and a “shout sacrifice” of praise on the 7th day. The wall of Jericho (2m thick & 12m high) fell down like a pack of cards!

The king of Moab had a problem as a battle was fierce against him. He offered his eldest son as a sacrifice. There was a great indignation against Israel on that day (2 King 3:26-27).

The children of Israel had a problem in the battle against the Philistines. Samuel offered a suckling lamb as a sacrifice and the Lord thundered against their adversary (1Sam. 7:8-10).

From yesterday’s devotional, RG Letourneau had a financial problem. He gave out a sacrificial Mission offering. Consequently, his finances came alive, even in the midst of Great economic depression.

“God had a problem” of reconciling Man whom He created back to Himself. He decided to offer Jesus as a sacrificial offering for the redemption of mankind. Then, He gained the whole world.

When dangerous sacrifice goes up to Heaven, God is provoked to stop that problem. May the Lord inspire your heart to give a sacrifice that will call forth your promised Isaac, in Jesus name.

Quote: Sacrifice is a spiritual catalyst needed for the rapid manifestation of expected miracles.

Prophetic Word: After the order of Isaac, your miracle shall suddenly manifest, in Jesus name.

Prayer point

  1. Holy Spirit, provoke me to make sacrifices that will advance my destiny and change my lot, in Jesus name.
  2. I receive a heart of sacrifice. Nothing shall be too much for me to let go, in Jesus name.
