Bible Reading: John 1: 1-5

Memory Verse: God’s Son has all the brightness of God’s own glory and is like him in every way. By his own mighty word, he holds the universe together. Hebrews 1:3a (CEV)

Sing the hymn, “Ancient Words” on page 104. Be inspired:

  1. On kingdom service: Everything you will ever need is hidden in God’s service. Only the humble will truly serve.
  2. On the greatest failure in life: The greatest failure in life is being successful in the wrong assignment.
  3. On God’s mercies in our mistakes: We’ve all made mistakes, gone our own ways. But God, who is rich in mercy when we turn our backs on Him, doesn’t turn His back on us. He stoops down to the messy places, to where we failed, to where we should have been finished, and He brings us back – Pastor Joel Osteen.
  4. On being flexible: Old is not always good. Sometimes, new is what to do.
  5. On resilience: A winner was once a loser who tried one more time. Don’t give up.
  6. On friendship: If you cannot celebrate your friend’s success, then you are not a good friend – Dr. Mensah Otabil
  7. On ministry: If God must use you, He will pass you through bitter experience. Not until you locate what He is saying, you may not come out of such experience – Apostle Suleiman
  8. On entrepreneurship: People do not have patience to build a business for 5 years but they have the patience to go to work for 40 years at the expense of inheriting a clock.
  9. On your past : Don’t get stuck in the past when God has such a better future for you – Paula White-Cain.
  10. On giving: Too often, we give God only the tired remnants of our time, money, and talents. If God is not first in all, He definitely will take no place.
  11. On power: Weak men cannot handle power. It will either crush them, or they will use it to crush others – Jocelyn Murray.
  12. On training: God gives his toughest battles to his strongest soldiers.
  13. On sexual immorality: Sexual immorality is a sweet poison. Sweet like sugar, deadly like viper. Flee, I say flee. (Prov 9:18-19) – Sis Oreoluwa Ajayi
  14. On attitude: With the right attitude, God will never allow any bad news be your last news – Dr. D.K. Olukoya.
