Bible Reading: Proverbs 22:29

Memory Verse:  Don’t hide your light! Let it shine for all; let your good deeds glow for all to see, so that they will praise your heavenly Father. Matthew 5:16 (TLB)

It was Apostle Joshua Selman who said: Loving God is essential. Prayer is powerful. But in the realm of destiny, competence cannot be ignored. You can carry an anointing that raises the dead, but if you lack skill, discipline, and diligence — doors will remain closed.

Do you see a man diligent in his work? He will stand before kings, he will not stand before obscure men.” – Proverbs 22:29

You were not born to blend in — you were created to stand out. But standing out requires more than fire; it requires excellence. The Kingdom needs believers who pray in tongues and still show up on time; who fast for days and still deliver results, who carry grace and still operate with skill.

You are not a blessing just because you love God; you are a blessing when you become a solution.

David didn’t just love God — he was a master harpist, a fearless warrior, a wise leader. Joseph didn’t just dream — he managed resources with precision. Daniel wasn’t just a prophet — he was found ten times better than his peers in all matters of wisdom and understanding (Daniel 1:20).

The world doesn’t reward intention; it rewards execution. Your prayer life may open the door, but your competence will keep it open. You may be favoured once, but only excellence guarantees repeated access.

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” – Matthew 5:16

Your light is not in your declarations alone — it is in your delivery. God wants to make you a voice in your generation, but first, He must trust your hands. Can you be faithful in the little? Can you master your gift? Can you steward your calling with diligence and discipline?

We don’t only shine by prayer and fasting — we shine by results”

So rise above average. Reject laziness. Set a standard. Be a believer who solves problems, not just one who prays about them. Become so valuable in your field that the world has to take note of your God because in the Kingdom, excellence is evangelism.

When they see your discipline, your wisdom, your results — they will ask, “Who is your God?”

The anointing opens the door. Competence keeps you in the room.

QuoteSpirituality is not an excuse for mediocrity. The anointing is best expressed when it is combined with competence – Apostle Joshua Selman

Prophetic Decree: Anything blocking your light from shining shall be burnt to ashes, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus:

1. Thank you Father for Your Word in season.

2. I receive grace to shine the light of Christ through my character and through indisputable proofs, in Jesus name.

3. I receive grace to combine excellence with spirituality, in Jesus name.

4. I receive grace to be faithful in the little, and to master my gift, in Jesus name.

5. I receive grace to steward my calling with diligence and discipline, in Jesus name.

POWER FOR HONOURABLE CONNECTION (2)

THE QUIET DESTROYERS (2)

One of the greatest dangers in the life of a believer is not the sins everyone can see, but the ones that hide quietly in the heart. These sins rarely attract attention, yet they slowly drain spiritual strength and weaken a man’s destiny. Hebrews 12:1 says, “Let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles”...
