Bible Reading: 1 Thessalonians 5:17

Memory Verse: …men ought always to pray, and not to faint. Luke 18:1 (KJV)

Apostle Arome Osayi said, “In Ghana, I stumbled on a man. His father was a warlock (a male who practices witchcraft; otherwise known as sorcerer) and this young man was being trained by his father in witchcraft and necromancy, because the spirit his father served had spoken his name as the next in line for the ways of the priesthood. So his father was training him, giving him tips and the basic education needed for the job.

Unfortunately for generation of satanic priests, this young man gave his life to Christ suddenly and the linkage was disconnected.

He told me about his father, he was a consecrated and disciplined man. He sleeps three hours in a day and he doesn’t sleep on the bed. He spends all night in the shrine, even though he had a job as a security man during the day. He spends all night in the shrine.

This man taught his son about the kinds of people to engage with in a spiritual battle. “When you take over this shrine, there are three sets of people you should not fight, because you will not win.” The father said to him.

He went on to list the three sets of people:

1. Christians that pray in the night: If you investigate the man’s portfolio and you find night prayer as an ingredient, forget about that fight. You can use other means to settle your grievances with the person. Don’t engage in such fights.

2. Christians that pray long prayers: People that can dedicate a day or two in two weeks or a month and give it all to prayers and fasting and that’s their way of life, don’t engage in a fight with them because you will not win.

3. Christians that pray intermittently: You see him, he has prayed now for 30 minutes, he’s in the bus station, he prays again. He may not pray for long, just that 30 minutes and he’s stirred again after about one hour; he starts again. Don’t also engage those kinds of people.

“When you test a man and you don’t see any oil in his prayer gauge, shave his head, he won’t do anything!” That’s what the man said to his son.

Men ought always to pray and not to faint!

Men and brethren, if in these three categories I mentioned, you can’t find yourself there, then there’s a problem. Because, when a situation is orchestrated from the realm of the Spirit against you, your PhD in engineering will count for nothing.

There are many things prayer can achieve.

Prayer is a defence mechanism!

Quote: You either pray or faint. No middle ground!

Prophetic Decree: Let every arrow of prayelessness fired into your heart, backfire, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus

1. Today, I repent of my inconsistency in prayer.

2. I receive fresh fire for prevailing prayers, in Jesus name.

3. I receive a fresh auction for effective prayers, in Jesus name.

4. East wind of heaven, blow all the old ashes on my prayer altar away, in Jesus name.

5. Holy Ghost, install your engine of prayer in me today, in Jesus name.
