Bible Reading: Jeremiah 15: 19-21

Do you know many are just covering up their personal walk with God?
1. I trust you know that going to Church does not mean you are born again. You can be ordained as a priest, pastor, deacon, reverend, etc, yet you are not born again (2 Timothy 2:19).
2. Many can’t remember the last time they sat down alone with their Bible for complete 1 hour to catch a personal revelation from the scripture. You can use your daily devotional guides and study the Bible for yourself at the same time. The “Bible in one year” can be of help in this regard.
3. Sir/Ma, when last did you share your faith in your work place, at school, in your family meeting, amongst your friends, etc? Where is your first love?
4. For those living in cold regions of the world, if you are not careful, your spiritual life may adjust to that of your surroundings. You must consciously set yourself on fire. Once your prayer and Bible study lives fall by one inch, you are a backslider. J.C. Ryle opined, “Backsliding, generally first begins with neglect of private prayer”.
5. On complete and prompt obedience, Clovis G. Chappell said, “Whenever you make up your mind to refuse to go where God wants you to go and to do what God wants you to do, you must make up your mind at the same time to renounce the friendship of God. You cannot walk with Him and at the same time be in rebellion against Him. God has no possible way of entering into fellowship with the soul that is disobedient to His will. Believe me, it is absolutely useless, it is mere mockery, to say “Lord, Lord” and then refuse to do the things that He commands you to do.”

Prophetic Decree: Receive grace for consistent fellowship, in Jesus name.
Prayer Focus
1. Thank you Father for your Word of caution.
2. I receive grace to look at my life in retrospect and adjust accordingly, in Jesus name.
3. I come against physical and spiritual forces quenching my fire, in Jesus name.
4. Foundational pull dragging me back to sin and prayerlessness, be broken, in Jesus name.
5. Holy Spirit, please set me on fire consistently, in Jesus name.
