Bible Reading: John 10: 27-28
Memory Verse: The spirit of man is the candle of the LORD, searching all the inward parts of the belly. Proverbs 20:27 (KJV)
Many are wondering how they can hear God. Infact some have given up and have concluded that God only speak through their Pastors. Brethren, the veil is broken when Christ died on the Cross, and the Spirit of the living God has now been made available unto all.
First thing first: You must be born again. Friend, do you have an assurance in your Spirit that you are a child of God? Until you are a member of God’s family, you are not entitled to hear Him. John 10:27 (AMP) says, “The sheep that are My own hear My voice and listen to Me; I know them, and they follow Me.”
Secondly, many are too fussy about hearing an audible voice. No brethren, that is not the primary way God speaks. You can wait your lifetime or begin to hear demonic voices if you become too fussy about audible voice. God speaks primarily through the Bible. Imagine your Father going on a very important journey, but because He wants you to learn of Him, He wrote so many love letters to you.
That is what the Bible is to an average believer. Hence, you must study to learn of your Father; study to show yourself approved (2 Tim. 2:15). Unfortunately, this generation is too busy with the wrong things. Social media most times is not helping, especially for the younger generation to dig into the Word of God. Be disciplined with your Bible study and daily Quiet time.
Thirdly, be a prayer person. Prayer is the communication line that connects you to God, and connects God to you. Pray in tongues daily and keep meditating on the Word of God.
If you do that daily, your communication channel to heaven opens up and God will begin to whisper to you by giving life to the scriptures you read and meditate on, show you dreams/visions, and drop divine inspiration and divine impressions upon your human spirit. Proverbs 20:27 (NIV) says, “The human spirit is the lamp of the LORD that sheds light on one’s inmost being.”
Start with the three aforementioned points as you begin to enjoy a deeper walk with the Holy Spirit.

Prophetic Decree: Receive ease of access to the abundance of blessings as you walk with the Holy Spirit, in Jesus mighty name.
Prayer Focus
1. Lord Jesus, come into my heart today as my Lord and personal saviour.
2. Spirit of the living God, purge my inner man today.
3. Blood of Jesus, laminate my inner man, in Jesus name.
4. I receive grace to be an addicted lover of the Word of God, in Jesus name.
