Bible Reading: Luke 14:11, Proverbs 11:2

Memory VerseTherefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with feelings of compassion and with kindness, humility, gentleness and patienceColossians 3:12 (CJB)

I came across a piece credited to Kathryn Esther Clement which I believe will bless you and is capable of changing your mindset. Be blessed: “One Thursday evening, I needed to rush out to somewhere close by to pick up a product from someone waiting. I needed to be there as fast as possible, so a tricycle popularly called keke in Nigeria was the best option. I stopped one, and the first thing that caught my attention was the person driving it. The man looked so good, fine, and clean.

His skin looked no different from the word “fresh.” Within me, I had this conviction that that was not an ordinary keke-rider; there was more. We stopped at another junction and he picked up another lady. The lady was on a call and she kept using mean words to the person on the other side of the phone.

When she ended the call and the rider asked where she was heading to, she raised her voice scolding the driver if he never understood the sign she gave before boarding but the rider stayed quiet. At every spot when the rider got into a pothole, she blamed the driver for not knowing how to drive. Everyone inside the tricycle was irritated by her action, including the rider.

We got to another junction and the driver ordered her to get down and take another tricycle because he could no longer tolerate her attitude. When she alighted, the rider began to tell us that he does not own the tricycle, his driver does. He said he needed to stroll and he begged his driver to lend him the tricycle and that he has come to understand how people disrespect others because of what they do. That experience thought me a lesson”, she said.

I hope you have not insulted the person destined by God to connect you to your destiny helpers because he is riding a tricycle? Imagine if Late Subomi Balogun was not nice to Sir Alex Ekwueme? Perhaps there wouldn’t have been anything called First City Monumental Bank today.

Imagine if Dr D.K. Olukoya despised the gateman who submitted his late scholarship form to his boss. Perhaps he wouldn’t have been a PhD holder today. Many times, God works in strange ways. Be level headed. Clothe yourself with humility.

Quote: Humility is the pathway to ever increasing grace.

POWER FOR HONOURABLE CONNECTION (2)

THE QUIET DESTROYERS (2)

One of the greatest dangers in the life of a believer is not the sins everyone can see, but the ones that hide quietly in the heart. These sins rarely attract attention, yet they slowly drain spiritual strength and weaken a man’s destiny. Hebrews 12:1 says, “Let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles”...
