Bible Reading: James 4: 6,10

Memory Verse:  When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom. Proverbs 11:2 (NIV)

Without any doubt, Man, the image of God will continue to be God’s method of doing things on earth (Psalm 8). But while Man will continue to be God’s method and God’s tool of getting things done on earth, you have to be careful because no mortal man is indispensable.

Be careful of subtle arrogance when God is using you in any capacity either as a chorister, instrumentalist, usher, teacher, pastor, or General Overseer. For every 1 Elijah, there are still 7,000 prophets who haven’t bowed down to Baal. Hence, you are replaceable (1kings 19:18).

God was using some group of billionaires as kingdom financiers of a global ministry. One day, they called their Pastor and told him that they want to be in the know of how their tithes were being used. When the devil wants to deal with a Christian, many times, he will give him an idea that is good but not right.

Take note of this aforementioned statement. They were not particularly asking for accountability which of course the Church has always done. They were concerned about “how their tithes” was being spent. To further point out that it was a conspiracy, the billionaires came out with an unanimous voice.

The Pastor, who is one of God’s Generals in this particular nation told them that the Church’s account income and expenses will be made available every month at the Church office. Any of them can walk in and check the records. Friends, please be careful. I am a strong believer of accountability but ‘Church business’ is not the same as everyday business. You mix up the two at your own peril.

Suddenly, the billionaires noticed that things started going down in their businesses. Many contracts they were pursuing which hitherto was quickly awarded were either given to another person or cancelled. They didn’t know that they have wrongly challenged the altar that was sponsoring their financial glory.

Be humble dear friends. There is more to the physical success you think you have recorded. Stay humble. Keep servicing the altar that is sponsoring your advancement in all humility.

QuoteYou cannot sponsor kingdom project; you can only partner with it. Stay humble. Stay usable.

Prophetic Decree:  Receive your deliverance from the spirit of pride, in Jesus name.
