Bible Reading: Exodus 21:6, Psalm 20:1

Memory Verse:  The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears; He delivers them from all their troublesPsalm 34:17 (BSB)

Evangelist Innocent Iyifioda shared a testimony of God’s deliverance: One evening, while travelling with a young man, they suddenly met kidnappers on the road. Before he could understand what was happening, they dragged him out and forced him barefoot into the bush. He walked until he was weak and exhausted. At one point, they shouted, “Come out!” When he hesitated, he heard a gunshot. They warned, “If you don’t come out now, we will kill you.” So, he came out and stood where they commanded. Fear surrounded him, but in his heart, he talked to God. They continued trekking deep into the forest.

Eventually, they told him, “Lie down.” While lying on the ground in the dark, he prayed only one prayer: “Father, have mercy on me.” He remembered his ministry to widows and orphans and said, “Lord, remember the seeds I sowed into widows. Remember the school fees I paid for orphans. For their sake, show me mercy.” Just like Psalm 126:5 says, “Those who sow in tears shall reap in joy.”

Unknown to him, his wife was making calls. She contacted several spiritual leaders and intercessors. Within a short time, every one of them called her back with the same message: “Be at peace. He will return. The Lord says they will not harm him.” This reminds us of Isaiah 54:17: “No weapon formed against you shall prosper.”

After some hours, the kidnappers released him without taking any ransom. They had demanded millions, but God intervened.

Evangelist Innocent testified boldly: “I did not pay them anything. God preserved me.” Do you have fathers who talk to God on your behalf?

Lessons

1. Your kingdom labour and sacrifice can serve as a memorial to God on the day of evil.

2. When all other prayers fail, when you get to the crossroad of life, when you don’t know the right prayer to pray: THE PRAYER OF MERCY NEVER FAILS.

3. Marry a godly spouse, and together drink from the same graces. Don’t grow apart separately.

4. Stay under spiritual covering. It matters. God uses fathers and intercessors to speak at the gate of the enemy. At the crossroad of life, their prayers will always make a difference.

QuoteYou can provoke the hand of God to step into your situation for instant miracles.

Prophetic Decree:  Today, the Lord of host shall appear in the camp of your enemies and take back what is yours, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus

1. Thank you Father for your power to deliver to the outermost, in Jesus name.

2. I shall marry right. I shall grow together with my spouse, we shall drink from the same graces, and we shall not grow apart separately, in Jesus name.

3. O Lord, please show me my destiny work in the journey of life, in Jesus name.

4. I receive wisdom to stay under spiritual covering, in Jesus name.

5. I receive the humility to stay under spiritual covering in the name of Jesus.
