Bible Reading: John 15: 1-2

Memory Verse:   Every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful.” John 15:2 (NLT)

Growth is costly, but worth it. “Every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful.” John 15:2 (NIV).

David was anointed king as a teenager (1 Samuel 16), but he didn’t sit on the throne until years later. In that time, he faced lions, Goliath, rejection, betrayal, and living in caves. But each trial shaped him for royalty.

Growth involves pain. God prunes fruitful people, not to destroy them, but to make them more productive. Discomfort may be a sign that you’re changing. If you’re feeling uneasy, challenged, or stretched, you’re likely on the verge of growth. Spiritual, personal, and leadership growth always involves a season of pressure. “Pressure is the womb of greatness.” Don’t despise the stretching seasons. They are preparing you for the weight of what God has called you to carry.

Choose to growth daily. “So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.” Psalm 90:12 (KJV)

Every day you wake up is another chance to move closer to the version of yourself that God envisioned. Don’t bury your talents like the servant in Matthew 25:25 who said, “I was afraid and hid your gold in the ground.”

You will give an account of what you did with your time, your gifts, and your potential.

Choose Growth Daily. Becoming a better version of yourself is not a destination; it is a daily decision. You must wake up every morning and say, “I will not let the fear of the unknown rob me of the greatness within me.”

Don’t die full. Don’t let your potential be buried with you. Don’t let your comfort zone become your coffin. Nothing changes until you become uncomfortable. Many times, comfort is the enemy of progress. Just like a seed must break open to grow, humans must leave the safety of their comfort zones to reach their potential.

You were born to manifest the glory of God. So rise, become, stretch, grow, and transform. The world is waiting on the real you. You will never become who you could be until you step away from who you are. God hides your potential in places you haven’t explored. The familiar is often a trap. A baby eagle must be pushed out of the nest to fly. Likewise, God sometimes disturbs your nest to make you soar.

Quote:  Don’t seek comfort; seek purpose. Purpose will make you uncomfortable, but it will also make you fulfilled.

Prophetic Decree: Receive grace to emerge, transform and become what God says you should become, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus

Today, I choose to leave behind fear, delay, and comfort. I rise to become the version of me that God had in mind. I will not die full – I will pour out all that He has deposited in me. I receive grace to find comfort in my uncomfortability knowing fully well that it is taking me closer to God’s ultimate purpose for my life.
