Bible Reading: Daniel 1: 17-21

Memory VerseThen this Daniel began distinguishing himself among the commissioners and satraps because he possessed an extraordinary spirit, and the king intended to appoint him over the entire kingdom. Daniel 6:3 (NASB)

Elizabeth Ekeoseye is a 21-year-old lady who hails from Igueben Local Government, Edo State, but reside with her family in Delta State, Nigeria. She confessed that she is a lover of God and it finds expression in all that she does. Her parents played a principal role in imbibing reading habit in her. Growing up, her dad would purchase large numbers of books for her without complaining about the cost, while her mom would sit with her as they both studied together. As a result, she never saw reading as a forceful activity. She simply enjoyed it.

She is a chorister in Church. She was the best graduating student in her nursery and primary school, in her secondary school, and at the University of Lagos 2019/2020 set where she studied Zoology with 4.95 CGPA. She realized that she had the potential of a first class graduate right from her first year, so she prayed and worked towards it. During ASUU strike and COVID-19 break, she returned home to her mother in Delta State while she spent her time reading her Bible, Christian novels and inspirational books even as she assisted her mum in her tailoring shop and with her subsistence fish farming. Brethren, learning must be all-encompassing.

She further said, “The factors responsible for my attaining a first class is God and smart reading. God really made studying enjoyable, guided and easy for me. Smart reading is an essential factor as well. It is reading in a strategic way that enables you to achieve more without being worn out. It does not support studying when you are tired, stressed or hungry because reading is a brain activity. When the brain is well rested, it will be able to retain more in a short time than when it is stressed. Smart reading is doing what works for you. Some people can read with music and noise while others need an extremely quiet place to read. I prefer the quietness of the early morning.”

Go and excel, in Jesus name.

Quote: If God can do it for one, He can do it for all.

Prophetic Decree:  You must arise and shine for your light has come and the glory of God is risen upon you, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus

1. To the God of all glory, I worship You.

2. Failure syndrome of my father’s house, break, in Jesus name.

3. Curse of “thou shall not prosper”, be cancelled, by the power in the Blood of Jesus.

4. What stopped my parents shall not stop me, in Jesus name.

5. Today, I become a success magnet, when I go out and when I come in, in Jesus mighty name.
