Bible reading: 2 Samuel 13: 23-39

Memory Verse: Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you. Ephesians 4:31-32

Sometime ago, a soldier in a particular country in Asia was about to go to war. He instructed that all his salary and allowances during the war be kept in the account of his fiancée whom he intends to marry at his return. When he came back, his supposed fiancée wasn’t only married to another man but now has a child. Do you ask about his accrued salary? That made the wedding a memorable one! He tried to challenge them but the woman with her estranged husband colluded with corrupt law enforcement agents to beat him up. He was brought to the hospital bruised in his body, sick in his spirit and bitter in his soul. Added to his myriad of problems, he was relieved of his position in the Army.

Sometimes in life, things seems to be getting out of hands. We seem empty, betrayed and bitter about ourselves, situations and circumstances. We need to pour out this venom of bitterness before the throne of grace as we receive help to help in time of need. I see a turnaround come your way, in Jesus name. Your past is a waste paper, your present is a newspaper and your future is a question paper.

Quote:  You don’t shut down your future because of your past. Look ahead!

Prophetic decree: I disconnect you from your past working against your future in the Jesus name.

Prayer Focus:

  1. Holy Spirit my sweet Companion, heal my soul today, in Jesus name.
  2. I cast out every bitterness in my spirit, soul and body, in Jesus name.
  3. Holy Spirit, heal my broken heart, in Jesus name.
  4. I destroy the seed of anger in my life, in Jesus name.
  5. Unforgiving and bitter spirit, die, in Jesus name.
