Bible Reading: Isaiah 30:21, Prov. 3: 5-7

Memory Verse: Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Proverbs 3:5-6

The best way to understand how a product should function is to read, understand and apply the instruction manual. Get it right: All about life is spiritual. The choice of your career is spiritual, too. You need God. A career refers to an occupation or profession, especially one requiring special training, from which one can make a living. Note the word training in the definition. Many times, our talents are in their raw impure state requiring year(s) of training to refine them as pure gold. A career could result from one’s talent such as writing e.g. Chinua Achebe, playing football e.g. Neymar or Singing e.g. Sinach. At other times, what you love doing and you are passionate about could be a pointer to what your career could be. A person could love computers hence he opts to study ICT while another loves music. Nevertheless, our passion must be subject to what God is saying over our lives. All that glitter is not gold. Sometimes we could be passionate over some of our fleshly desires.

Arsene Wenger, coach of Arsenal FC is a Masters Degree holder in Economics. University or Tertiary education may not necessarily put food on your table but definitely will empower your mind and broaden your horizon. Irrespective of your talent, I strongly advice you value education and obtain a degree.

THE QUIET DESTROYERS (1)

The Quiet Destroyers are otherwise known as Secret Sins That Ruin Destiny. Many destinies have not been destroyed by loud sins, but by quiet ones. The sins nobody sees. The ones people excuse. The ones hidden behind reputation, ministry, intelligence, or success. Yet heaven sees them clearly. The Bible says, “Be sure your sin will find you out” (Numbers 32:23). Secret sins do not remain secret forever. They slowly weaken the soul until a man who once carried promise begins to lose weight in the spirit...

THE DANGER OF SECRET SIN

Bro. Gbile Akanni once shared a sobering story that has stayed in my heart for many years. He spoke about an elderly evangelist whom God used mightily in the past. In those days there was no television, only radio. When this man of God preached, people would gather around their radios. Sometimes he would say, “Place your hand on the radio.”...
