Scripture Reading: John 14

Memory verse for the week:   John 14:26

But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. (KJV)

1. He has a mind…. “The mind of the Spirit”. Rom 8:27.

• He knows and understands the things of God. 1 Cor.2:11.

• He has affections…“the love of the Spirit”. Rom 15:30.

• He has a will power i.e. He does as he chooses. “The same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills”. 1 Cor.12:11.

• He can get annoyed…”do not grieve the Holy Spirit”. Eph 4:30.

• It is possible to insult (blaspheme) Him. This is a very great sin! Mat. 12:31-32

• It is possible to lie against the Holy Ghost e.g. Ananias & Sapphira. Acts 5:3

• He can be resisted. e.g. the Jewish Elders. Acts 7: 51-53.

ACTION WORD: THE HOLY SPIRIT CAN BE YOUR BEST FRIEND.

PRAYER POINT:

1. Holy Spirit, I invite you today to be my best friend, in the name of Jesus.
2. Holy Spirit, you have the details of my life, reveal them unto me, in the name of Jesus.
