CHARACTERISTICS OF THE MEMBERS OF THE DANIEL’S CLUB (2)

DWOJ Daily Words of Jesus Devotional Post March

Monday, 6th March, 2017.

Bible reading: Dan. 6:4-20.

Memory Verse: “Then the king commanded, and they brought Daniel, and cast [him] into the den of lions. The king spoke and said unto Daniel, Thy God whom thou servest continually, he will save thee” Daniel 6:16(DBY).

6) They have strong will power. Daniel 1:8 says, “But Daniel purposed in his heart… “. They have learnt to say “No” to unrighteousness and stand firm for righteousness.

7) They are highly favoured because God is with them (Dan. 1:8).

8) They are risk takers (Dan. 1:10-13). They care less what the king of the earth will say or do if after ten days their appearance is discouraging.

9) They use their spiritual gifts to the glory of God and not for their bellies (Dan. 1:17).

10)They are always relevant throughout their lifetime; even in retirement. Daniel served under four kings: Nebuchadnezzar, Belteshazzar, Cyrus and Darius.

11) They have great prophetic auction. God talks to them about things yet to come. Daniel’s prophecies are in many respects the most remarkable. It gave the first definite chronological prophecy of the coming of the Messiah.

12) They are diligent, faultless & accountable. Probe their work and no shady deal can be traced to them (Dan. 6: 4b, 5).

13) They are never backsliders: They serve God continually in ‘good’ or ‘bad’ season (Dan. 6:16, 20).

Quote: Greatness is the result of an excellent spirit.

Prophetic Word: Like Daniel, may you be relevant throughout your life time.

Prayer Point:

  1. Spirit of excellence, fall upon my life, in Jesus name.
  2. I receive grace to be diligent in all I do as an ambassador of Christ in Jesus name.

Holy Spirit, surround me with friends that will shape my destiny, in Jesus name.
