CHRISTIAN PERSECUTION: WHY & WHAT?

CHRISTIAN PERSECUTION: WHY & WHAT?

Bible Reading:  1 Corinthians 4:10-13.

Memory verse:   And we labor, working with our own hands. Being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we endure 1 Corinthians 4:12(NKJV)

Why are Christian persecuted? Authorithorian government in North Korea & other communist countries order to control political and civic life. Also, hatred towards minority religious groups. For instance, Niger Republic has 98% Muslims. Again, lack of basic human rights. In Eritrea, there are violations of the freedom of expressions, religious belief and movement.

What can we do as Christians? Heb. 13:3, “Remember the prisoners as if chained with them – those who are mistreated – since you yourselves are in the body also.” We Give, Groan and/or Go! We can Give in cash and kind as relief materials, Groan ( Intercede) for them and/or Go there to encourage the work the missionaries are doing.

Action Word: Give, Groan and Go for the persecuted.

Prayer points:

  1. Arrow of discouragement fired into the heart of evangelist and missionaries, backfire, in the name of Jesus.
  2. Father Lord, raise up intercessors for your saints, in the name of Jesus.
