CONDITIONS FOR A PERSONAL ENCOUNTER

CONDITIONS FOR A PERSONAL ENCOUNTER

DWOJ Daily Words of Jesus Devotional Post November

Wednesday, 23rd November, 2016.

Bible reading:  Isaiah 41:17-18, Mark 1:35.

Memory Verse:  The poor and needy seek water, but there is none, Their tongues fail for thirst. I, the LORD, will hear them; I, the God of Israel, will not forsake them. Isaiah 41:16(NKJV)

1) Your must be born again: It all starts with a committed relationship with the Lamb of God. Samuel, Daniel, & David – they all knew God personally in their teen (John 3:3).

2) Have a personal daily altar with God: You need to cultivate the habit of being ALONE WITH GOD. Friends, this is a backbone to having a personal encounter with God. Our generation is too noisy. Many are busy chasing shadows. On your personal altar which is different from family prayers, you fellowship with God’s Spirit in praises, worship, prayer, reading of the Word and deep meditation. GOD DWELLS IN THE SECRET! Mark 1:35.

3) Be committed & dedicated working for God & Man e.g. David In the wilderness (1 Sam.17:34-35.

4) Be baptized in the Holy Ghost (John 14:26).

5) Be connected to a spiritual father in destiny: This was the secret of Samuel. You need to climb on the shoulders of a father to see farther (1 Samuel 3: 4-10).

6) Long and thirst daily for a personal encounter (Isaiah 41:17-18, Matthew 5:6). God always responds to a man thirsty for Him.

7) Keep a good company of friends: Like Daniel, befriend only those who want more of God daily in their lives. Dan 2:17-19.

Action Word: An encounter with God is the steering wheel of a divine revolution in any life.

Prayer point

1) My Father, encounter my life by fire, in the name of Jesus.

 2) Wind of spiritual revolution, blow upon my life, in the name of Jesus.
