Bible Reading: Deuteronomy 11:24

Memory Verse:  If you are willing and obedient, You shall eat the good of the land. Isaiah 1:19 (NKJV)

Are you about to enter into a new city to start a mission work, business, career, or family? Perhaps you are about to relocate to a new country or city. Today’s message is for you.

How Do You Conquer the Land?

1. Be sure God has sent you: Don’t go where God has not sent you. The story is told of a man who travelled to Canada to do God’s work with his wife. God asked him the next day he got there, “Who sent you here?” Quickly, he retreated back home. God will never bless you in the land where He has not commissioned for you.

2. Open the two leaved gates of the city: There are spiritual gatekeepers to every land. Until the gates of the land open for you, there can’t be abundance. You may need to contend in prayer and fasting to silence the work of the territorial spirits at work in the land (Psalm 24).

3. Stay connected to grace: Stay under the spiritual covering God has assigned over you. Make sure you have a physical Church you are committed to, and serve God actively therein. There is a place where God has planted you. Stay there.

4. Kingdom service: Until you sow a seed in the land, don’t expect an harvest. Be part of the spread of the work of God in that land. There are many battles God fight at the background for men and women committed to kingdom advancement so that they can focus on His work.

5. Go for knowledge: Know what works. Success has both physical and spiritual dimensions. Don’t be loop sided. Acquire relevant knowledge and skills about how things work.

6. Be ready for warfare: The children of Israel didn’t conquer Canaan without having to contend in battle. In every man’s Promised land, there are giants. The foundational Goliath of your father’s house may intermittently come to spy on your success, hence, be battle ready. “Christians seek not yet repose. Hear thy guardian angel speak. Thou art in the midst of foes. Watch and pray.”

7. Be an addicted giver: One thing is sure, the secret to continuous open heavens is tied to giving.  Secure your open heavens by increasing your giving as the Lord lifts you.

8. Connect to the mercy and favour of God: Psalm 44:3 (AMP) says it succinctly: “For our fathers did not possess the land [of Canaan] by their own sword, Nor did their own arm save them, But Your right hand and Your arm and the light of Your presence, Because You favoured and delighted in them.”

9. Be Patient: Exodus 23:29-30 (NIV) says “But I will not drive them out in a single year, because the land would become desolate and the wild animals too numerous for you. Little by little I will drive them out before you, until you have increased enough to take possession of the land.”

QuoteSpiritually a land is a living entity. It can Move, Respire, Eat (swallow), Breath, Grow, Exhume, Reproduce and Kill.

Prophetic Decree:  This land shall not be a cauldron unto you, in Jesus name.

Prayer Focus

1. Say: As my feet has stepped on this land, I take possession, in Jesus name.

2. The powers of this land, hear ye the Word of the Lord, release my blessings, in Jesus name.

3. I command the angels of the Lord to magnetize all the blessings from the four corners of the earth unto me, in this land, in Jesus name.

4. I receive grace to make an impact for the Lord in the land He has destined for me, in Jesus name.

5. I receive divine wisdom and strategies to conquer the land, in Jesus name.

6. Unlike the land of Moab that swallowed the Elimelech and his two sons, this land shall not be a cauldron unto me and my family, in Jesus name.
