Bible reading: Eph. 4: 26-27.

Memory Verse: “He who is slow to be angry is better than a man of war, and he who has control over his spirit than he who takes a town “Proverbs 16:32(BBE)

  1. It leads to various works of the flesh: Feeling of guilt, remorse, bitterness, resentment etc (Gal.5:19-21).
  2. Anger leads to anxiety. This can have both immediate & long-term effects on one’s life.
  3. Immediate effects of anxiety include dizziness, rapid breathing, nausea, muscle pain, muscle tension, headaches, and problems with concentration and memory that can hinder our routine tasks.
  4. Long-term anxiety can pose dangerous risks to your physical and emotional states.
  5. Individuals who suffer from long bouts of anxiety are at a greater risk for strokes, memory loss, chronic sleep disorders and relationship issues.
  6. Loneliness and avoidance: Friends tend to avoid those who are easily provoked.
  7. Depression:This can cause a revolving cycle that’s hard to break. Lashing out in anger can lead to alienation and feelings of guilt, which can lead to depression when depressed we find it difficult to handle our emotions.
  8. Loss of opportunity & destiny contact: That person you broke out in rage will never want to work with you nor will he/she recommend you to others. Your name could be deleted from the preference names of those to be considered as a leader.
  9. Pain in the neck to parents: Parents with children suffering from rage do pay extra caution fees in their school due to their destructive acts when angry. Your i-phone you hit against the wall and the screen got broken will later be repaired by you when your anger is over.
  10. Your testimony and integrity becomes questionable.
  11. You become a shame to the body of Christ.
  12. Hinders you from fulfilling 100% of God’s plan for your life e.g. Moses

Quote:Deal with anger, don’t allow it to deal with you.

Prophetic Word: I cut you off from the grip of foundational spirit of anger, in Jesus name.

Prayer points:

  1. Power of God, break the yoke of anger in my life, in Jesus name.
  2. By the infinite mercies of Jesus, I recover back all I have lost due to anger, in the name of Jesus.
