Bible Reading: Acts 2: 42, 47

Sometimes we are so encumbered with the word, “Explosion” especially for those of us in ministry, career and business. We just want the crowd to come (crowd, many atimes, instead of disciples) in ministry. We just want the sudden promotion into the managerial position we’ve always eyed. We just want the millions to flow into the business. I have a goodnews for you. Perhaps you are already in the path. Hear me: Sooner than you think, the explosion you desire will come.
JUST BE FAITHFUL AND CONTINUE. Continue with the divine pattern you have received. Don’t get worked up with explosion, it will surely happen in the process of continuity. Pastor Paul Enenche opined: It has been established that one reason why God brings us into a new season or new year is to maximize all the opportunities, privileges, blessings and favours of God that come with the new season.
Now, one way to maximize a new season is, identify what worked that needs to be worked on again and again. There were things that succeeded last year. There are things that worked that must be worked on again and again. 1 Corinthians 15:58 says: ‘Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.” To be steadfast means to be consistent; it is to be on duty; it is to keep doing something. I read some time ago that nothing succeeds like excess.
There is a connection between success and excess. By excess, we mean excess of the right things and right principles; that is, excess of prayer, worship, giving, evangelism, etc. Acts 2:42 says: “And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers. Please note: And they continued… And because they continued, what was their outcome? Acts 2:47 answers the question for it says: “… And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.” As they continued, there was an explosion or increase in the number of disciples. So, continuity is the way to explosion, increase and addition in life. If anything must explode, someone must persist.

Prayer Focus
1. Lord, I ask that you help me continue doing what you have given me to do. I receive the grace to keep moving and never to give up, in Jesus’ Name.
2. I come against the spirit of haste, in Jesus name.
3. I receive grace to be steadfast and unmoveable in my academics, business and ministry, in Jesus name.
4. I receive grace to understand when to be flexible while I keep the standards sure as I continue in destiny, in Jesus name.
5. O Lord, heal my broken spirit and mend my weary soul, in Jesus name.
