Bible Reading:  1 Thessalonians 1:5

Memory VerseNow faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1 (ESV)

Conviction is the state of mind of a person who is sure that what he or she believes or says is true. Conviction is a firmly held belief or opinion. Pastor Korede Komaiya once said, “The unstoppable you is the greatest miracle ever however, there is a point where the rubber meets the road – the moment where reality seems to put a check on your convictions. Oftentimes, many are tossed here and there with any wind of doctrine and adversity. The defining question now becomes – where does your conviction lie?

Sharpen your conviction in line with God’s word. Intentionality in working your convictions to align with what is written is key and determines how one’s life goes. No matter the challenge, as long as your conviction is intact, your life is settled. Show me your conviction and I will show you your future. Every problem is asking you a question, don’t let what you are going through take away your conviction in God.

Sharpen your conviction then you will be unstoppable”. Similarly, Apostle Arome Osayi was heading to Owerri, Imo State, Nigeria by air. Suddenly, the pilot spoke from the cockpit saying, “Ladies and gentlemen, at the moment we are flying on the wind”. Obviously, the pilot had lost control due to mechanical and electrical faults. The plane was about to crash. Ironically, Apostle had just finished a vigil and that was the only opportunity to quickly catch some sleep before getting to Owerri for another round of ministerial work.

So, like Jesus slept in the boat despite the storms, he slept. One elderly woman came to give him a slap. You need to hear all manner of shouts and cries to a God many don’t know personally. Your Pastor, parents, or teacher might have introduced God to you, but do you know God personally? Apostle said he was fully convicted that he must land in Owerri in the name of the Lord. Infact, he had started hearing their praise and worship.

That’s deep conviction tried and tested in the storm. May your conviction not fail when it matters most. Keep feeding your faith daily. Expose your heart to sound, unadulterated, and anointed Words from God in your daily quiet time, during Bible study in a living Church, and via other media outlets. That’s how to build your conviction in Christ. We have a covenant of life with Abba, Father. We shall not die but live to declare the works of the Lord. Amen

Quote: Decide to be a man of deep conviction. Conviction of what you may ask? Have a conviction about the things God has called you. Have a conviction about the things you are supposed to accomplish in your lifetime. Have a conviction about the things that God has told you. Live by these convictions! Be prepared to give up anything so that you can fulfill your conviction. –  Dag Heward-Mills.
